Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

Well, the bastards at AT&T finally canceled my unlimited data plan that I used for my RV. It was pretty nice, started out at $29.99/month for unlimited data and they changed it to $34.99/month a couple of years ago. They gave me the option of getting a new plan for $55/month for 50GB in place of it, gee what a deal. I think I'll order a Starlink system and try it out on a month to month deal.

Who's your favorite UT basketball player this year?

I'm grappling with ZZ and Philips. They both bring so much to each game on both ends of the ball.

Favorite is probably JJJ, but most improved should go to Aidoo, that kid has really upped his game. Nkamhoua coming back from injury better than ever is big help to this team too. Fun team to watch.

Different lines. Our stops are cozumel, Belize, Honduras. What's your'n?

We did that one the Sunday after Thansgiving this year. Liked Roatan so much we are going back in August for a 7 day dive trip. For Belize, either stay on ship and relax or take an excursion. Do not think about exploring on your own. When port is cover in concertina wire, might want to stay inside the wire. We went to a ruins excursion that was great.

Anyone flown Rynair before? Why is it so dang cheap?
Our cabin lost pressure crossing the Alps. It got real cold real fast. Crew didnt really react.

Also we had to leave the terminal, cross the tarmac, carry our luggage out to the plane, and climb one of those mobile stairs to get seated. Same process getting out. And we flew out of Romes main airport and into Munichs main airport. Not like we were pond hoping.

25 year old me decided I would rather pay for a plane flight than take that taxi ride again.

Arent they building a replica titanic?

I think we're safe there. White Star apparently became Cunard - not sure if that line still exists. There are plenty of other lines that do weird things from time to time though. The one where the cruise ship captain did the nautical version of buzzing an island and failed spectacularly a few years ago comes to mind.

Carnival owns Cunard now and they have three ships. All Queen named ships that are very high end and posh.

Little known fact but White Star was pretty much forced to merge with Cunard. But Cunard knew they were the class act of the seas (other than the Titanic) and kept "White Star Service" as their VIP treatment even to this day.
