From what I've seen or have read ...... he's happy being the HC of Ole Piss & feels he'll be there for a long time & not go anywhere else soon. But you can keep dreaming for him to be here I suppose....

It's hoops season. The NCAA is an abysmal failure this year. They could have had an 8 team "true" playoff of conference champions, yet decided to stay with the same old popularity contest. What a bunch of clowns.

I watched the #10 Basketball Vols demolished Appy State last night by 41. So far, they are good as gold...

I always record the games so I can skip the commercials and liberal jerk media commentary. Since we suck so bad I usually just skip ahead to the 4th quarter to see how bad we're getting our ass handed to us.

Coach Barnes is the real deal. His players might be 4 or 5 star coming in but don't think for a second he won't chew on that butt of yours for not doing what he wants done while the ball is in play..... he chewed butt last night on some top notched players right there on the sideline as they came off for a breather or so. He'll let his players know all game long on what they should do & how to play his offense & defense. Great coach ..... like Summit was.

He was there 8 seasons. 8.5 win/4.4 loss. In the SEC West, it's not awful.
2-5 in bowl games, so regular season 66-30. That is 8.25-3.75 win/loss.

Imagine if Pat Summit ever walked into a big rivalry game wearing workout pants and a t-shirt to coach in...

Yeah, that's what happened at the Bedlam women's basketball last night.

Pruitt is still on par with Johnny Majors at this point - ahead by a game maybe. Majors had a national championship to his resume as HC when he came to TN. I for one wanted Majors back at UT ... for a while. I wasn't thrilled about the Pruitt announcement - I like hiring assistants (Neyland, Dickey, Fulmer did did reasonably well), but Pruitt didn't inspire me. He may or may not work out, but plenty of "sure thing" coaches don't work either. The most cringe worthy thing I've heard from Pruitt is actually very common across the coaching profession - the thing about guys who win at practice being the ones who play on Saturday.

So for you who follow recruiting, how's it going? I see the rankings and know where they were early on, but teams like Bama often lurk down in the pack and then pick off strays that other teams foolishly thought they had locked down, so it's really not worth following recruiting to me.
