No. 6 is fuel oil. No. 2 is diesel grade. No. 6 is cheaper and has a higher BTU content but has more impurities in it. They call it bunker C. Almost like burning coal. Used to burn it a lot in ships.

And fyi, no.6 is when a ride into town, a whompin' and a whoopin' ever livin' thing that moves within an inch of it's life.. Except the women.

Wrong about the campfire scene? My wife and I started watching it on cable maybe a couple of years ago and she thought it was disgusting and wanted to watch something else. She thought it was racist. I told her if she would just watch it that it makes fun of the racists but she never understands those subtleties. She thinks I'm redneck.

I've known racist people that love that movie, they don't seem to realize its making fun of them...

Wrong for not picking up on the reference of Hedley.

At least you gave it a shot. I had a couple of guys that watched it while I was deployed once. Both black and said the same thing in the first 15 minutes. Then started cracking up after they saw it wasn't serious.

Vaguely remember Hedley. Still don't get the connection between my explanation of fuel oil and Hedley other than he was a funny guy and my explanation was funny? He was the same guy who was on the Carol Burnett show? Charles something?

P.S.-You were pretty brave showing that to a couple of black guys with M-4's in their possession.

72 was just messsing around, referencing the scene where that dude is talking to Hedley about the no. 6 dance. You replied with some long winded serious talk, like Hedley would've.

Thanks for the explanation. Don't even remember that scene but again it has been 30 years. I'd have to watch it by myself or with my son. He appreciates disgusting humor too. We'd have to do it while my wife is out shopping or something. My favorite movie by him though is Young Frankenstein. I've seen that several times. My wife doesn't get that humor either. I had to explain Abby Normal to her.

Also, making fun of Manifest Destiny. I probably never got all those subtleties at the time. I think I was watching it while drunk with a bunch of drunk college buddies. With my wife, we never got passed the first N-word in the movie before my wife was changing the channel.
