Official Global Warming thread (merged)

Dr. Roy Spencer points out nearly 3500 days since major hurricane strike in the United States

I wonder what Spencer and Christy think of this:

Climate scientists find elusive tropospheric hot spot
Obama is a climate denier

The NYT headline is humorous. IMO it’s pretty dumb that the Obama administration would draw the line on Keystone XL and then give the green light to Arctic drilling. Your W(TF)uwt article has some good dumb too, though:
The most fanatical greens, in my opinion, have no intention of accepting any form of industrial activity whatsoever. They will not be satisfied, until they have completely dismantled the modern world, and restored the endless toil, disease and brutal misery of the pre-industrial age.
Yeah, because “we shouldn’t drill the Arctic” really means “we want to return to the stone age”. Damn luddites! Right, GrandVol?

The United States of America on Mars?

It's fun to watch Bart in here. He reminds me of Baghdad Bob in 2003.
If you think it’s fun now, just wait until the Pope releases his climate change encyclical next month. Oh boy, I can’t wait for the cognitive dissonance we’ll witness then and when he comes to speak before congress in September! Christmas will be a real treat too with the signing of the international climate agreement to succeed the Kyoto Protocol. And then on to the next U.S. elections! All during a record-shattering El Nino (inb4 the mantra becomes “no global warming since 2015”)

Yeah, it’s gonna get real fun

Congratulations to the University of Washington (my alma mater) for voting to divest from coal today!

The list keeps growing

And who is buying coal stocks? They don't sell themselves. Going to be a laugh when electricity goes to $0.50 a kWh because China owns the coal. Maybe we should have a flash back to the 1700's s mentioned in another thread. At least the liberals would die off.

I'm still worried about you. Go have some fun.

Most universities throughout the country have already divested from coal. UTK is one of the last hold outs although it already has become a bastion of liberalism many many years ago. There are a few emeritus professors there who are still hold outs.

Wait and watch what happens when that last coal-fired plant converts to gas. Natural gas prices are going to sky rocket.

It will be funny when all these universities around the country are on natural gas and we have an unusually harsh winter like last and they all have to go on curtailment at the same time and they are all scrambling for No.2 and can't get it and then start scrambling for No.6 and watch them struggle to try to heat all these buildings on campus. It is going to be a hoot to watch.

Wouldn't know how to start a fire with wood, or feel too guilty doing it?

Will they still hold the #6 dance?

:thud:

Did you pull all of that out of your butt? Impressive.

I'd still love to hear your thoughts on the Fischer-Tropsch process...

Climate change could make weed more potent

I'm just trying to make you admit to being clueless.

Whatever, keep up the good show

You keep barking up that tree like you think you know something. State your case. You'll look like a bigger idiot than you already do.
