It's like how pollution from China can affect air quality here in Tennessee. Our reliance on electronic devices causes mass amounts of EM radiation to escape our atmosphere and "pollute" the atmospheres of other planets.

That's probably not even close, but no less far fetched as claiming Siberia's snow cover is a cause of the recent cooling trends.

So an 80 year old meteorologist goes emeritus and decides to join the advisory board of a known denier think-tank, losing the respect of his colleagues… so what? The amount of butthurt is laughably off the charts. So far the “enormous world-wide pressure” consists of one scientist withdrawing co-authorship on an upcoming paper. Doesn’t exactly compare to the death threats and the like climate scientists receive on a regular basis…
