I should have my copy this afternoon i didnt play much of 1 but really want to try this one out. Cant wait to get off work so i can try it out.

I'll check on that today. I would have yesterday but I got Guitar Hero World Tour and spent all day playing it. I think I'll get an hour or two of Gears in today, though.

So many damn games right now. I want to try out Midnight Club. And Resistance is just around the corner....oy vey!

me too big daddy..i haven't been in the mood to play alot here lately..need to start Fracture..but guess I'm gearing up for GOW, COD5, and some 007 action.

Finished the single player campaign in Gears 2 this morning. Great stuff. Beginning to end it was fun. Some nice plot twists that I didn't really see coming. Pretty epic journey.

Plus, you asked if it was worth $60, not if you should get it over the other good games coming out. Which is a good question. There are so many good games coming out.

I don't think anybody is playing online from what I gather since they are playing "bootlegged" copies. If xbox live found out they ban u for it. I am not saying that all the copies of GOW2 out there are not legit, just the people that I know that are playing now are playing downloaded versions on a modded xbox. Official game release is next friday.

Not to keep on about modded boxes and such, but currently MS hasn't banned anyone in a LONG time with the most up to date mods. It's believed they cannot tell what are real discs and what are not, but that could just be b/c it's a year or so since they've done any widespread bans like we've seen in the past. I'm pretty sure plenty of people are playing Gears 2 online nowdays. I generally do not play games online until I purchase the retail disc, but have before (and with games are 2+ weeks away from release).

I can't wait to trade in COD4 for Gears 2. BTW, I played Gears 2 at a friends house and I must say that this will once again be GAME OF THE FREAKIN' Year.

well my planning fell through and I have to work the day it comes out and the weekend after it comes out. Looks like my GOW2 will be way behind you guys. Bummer.
