Official Game Thread - Tennessee vs. Vanderbilt - 7pm ET - ESPNU

Maybe it was ruled the whistle didn't blow because the refs decided 1) they want to keep their jobs and 2) they wanted to escape Neyland alive. If it hadn't been reversed, it would have been an obvious theft of a game-winning play. The video clearly showed the knee was never down. The right call was made in the end. Touchdown. Game over.

Ok, I'm happy we won, but the refs that Tennessee gets in these close games are getting out of hand. He blew the whistle, marked Gordon down, AND called it a FUMBLE!!! WTF'ingF?!?! :mad:New Rule for the Refs: If you can't clearly see what exactly the hell actually happened, then stop assuming and let the play f'ing go! We won but these COMPLETELY BS refs, as evidenced by tonight's game are really getting to me. If they would've came out of that challenge and said he wasn't down, he didn't fumble, but we're calling him down...I probably would be wearing orange everyday for the next 25 years. But officiating aside, GBO!!! Now let's keep the Kentucky tradition going!

Franklin actually ran away like a little boy who didn't get what he wanted.

And he took his little vandy cheerleaders with him. I'm sure fiji or smokey will find something to whine about but the forum should be a good place for, oh, about 4 days before the kentucky cheerleaders pull their skirts down long enough just to tell us how good they are.

Vanderbilt Football: Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in SEC play since 1932

Wow... I dont like to bash but that my friend is the quote of the day :) .....

and for the record,
Finally, for once, we did not pay for the stupidity of someone on the field (the referee this time).

I have said all week I wanted a Vol win regardless just check the posts. I hate Franklin with a passion much like Urban Cryer. He wouldn't shake anyone's hand and acted like a complete a hole. As for Dooley as usuaql I am just not even close to believing he can bring us back. As for Bray he is my hero, that kid is a winner, brings a spirit to the team and makes them play harder because they know they always have a chance. Again as for Vandy and Fraklin F'em.

Yeah I know, but you could clearly hear the ref blow a whistle. I'm saying that he BLEW the play dead, and it pisses me off, because although it went our way this time, it may not next time. So what I'm suggesting is that the ref's need to refrain from blowing a whistle and calling a play dead when they aren't 100% sure he was down, when clearly he wasn't. I think they ignored the whistle when they reviewed it because the ref was clearly in the wrong, but I'm afraid one day we may find a ourselves in a game where they side with the ref just because he blew his whistle.

Jury is still out, yes. But alittle faith can long a long way, brother.

OH YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Roll on Kentucky!!!!!!!! BRING IT!

I am so glad I stayed up this late!!!!!!!!! :) :dance2:  :p :good!:

WHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

You're going to have a lot more fun singing Rocky Top in the future. This is the Vols worst time ever. Better is on the way. It's great to be a Tennessee Vol. :good!: :hi:

I am so sick of SEC officiating. This needs to be fixed. They are making fools out of themselves and the league. Glad it was right in the end. However, the classic call of the game was the holding on Bartholomew. It was a perfect block with no hands used. Thankfully Bray hit Z-Rogers for even more yardage on the next play.

Bray spotted them 14 points and still the Vols came back to win. Kudos to the defense as well as Bray, D-Rogers, Poole and most of the O-line. Dallas Thomas needs to take a seat on the bench though. He is ridiculous. Still wish our coaching staff could get their act together. Game management and play calling still stink.

Wahhh,,,oh,,,wahhh. I don't care. The refs made the right call. Whistle, yup I heard it too. One thing a player does not do is stop playing when the ball is still moving. Big deal if a whistle blew - the replay clearly showed the ball still in action. This is not on the ref but on the candy players that didn't stop the TD.

Ya just had to find something to whine about. It's a win. Mark it on your calendar, put it in your checkbook, but whatever ya do,,,,,,mark it down as a win. And make sure ya put some second half points in there as well.
