Seems like I've made this prediction already in some other thread. I wonder how similar they will be.

Vols 38
GTech 10

JK rushes for 151 as tie breaker.

It wouldn't surprise me to see a low scoring game...something like 21-13 UT. I'd take it and run.

Georgia Tech has a new QB, and a new freshman kicker and freshman punter. That could spell disaster in a first game with a predominately hostile crowd. I like the Vols 28-14.

As mush as I hate to say it, I think we lose a close one to GT. I have a sinking feeling that our defense is going to be a little better than last year, but not enough to stop GT frim running wild. Meanwhile our offense just has so many question marks on how we replace about 98% of our production from last season.

GT- 35
UT- 28

You need to get off the Big Orange Train.....turn in your ticket, mister. I EXPECT the Vols to win every stinking game every year. GBO!!:good!:

They lost a lot off of their O Line and a lot of offensive production from last year. I can't see their offense being nearly as dangerous as they were last year.

New QB led them to win over VT and rushed for over a 100 yards. I thought same thing as you at first but he has more experience in actual games than our guys do.

I think GT lack of passing game will undo them. Especially if we can get an early lead.

They will probably get a lot of yards rushing (to be expected with their style of O). Many here will freak out anyways. But I don't think they will get in the end zone much. Once or twice before we put them away, maybe another in garbage time.

I predict our 2s and 3s will get to compete for playing time and hopefully we'll see some unexpected greatness out of an unknown.

I think the new punter and kicker will hurt GT the most (GT spends scholarships on these positions). Those are some big lights to start your kicking career. Also, it does take a game or 2 to get the option flowing well. Those are the biggest points in Tennessee's favor. The OL, backs, and receivers are solid and very experienced. Dedrick Mill is a beast in the middle and his new backup looks very good. The starting QB may be new but has a lot of snaps and a game under his belt.

Tennessee also gets all fall camp to get ready for the offense. This is a plus for any defense facing any offense. I am banking on GT getting ready for Tennessee as well.

The GT defense is a questions mark. The DB came on very strong at the end of the year and should be solid in 2017. But, the team lost both the leaders in sacks and tackles. KY and Tennessee has a similar offense and GT was able to compete well. Tennessee has better players though.

Does Tennessee usually come out firing on all cylinders in game 1 on offense? How does your DT compare to Clemson's DT? Everything starts with the DT.
