Apparently, the entire team agreed with my assessment of Hubert Davis as a head coach.

At least Matt left the table set for Roy's first national championship. At this rate, Hubert is going to leave the program looking like Pompeii.

They’re locked in for $. If Hubert doesn’t get a top 4 or 5 finish in the league this season he’s gone IMO . If Will Wade beats UNC and is out recruiting HD by a lot I think that matters too. I think currently, Duke is in a different place than UNC, but that can change in a hurry. I’ve been on the opposite side of that and seen it shift. It’ll be interesting to see what happens w/ the UNC AD going forward, especially after paying “Chapel Bill” all of that $, then paying Hubert’s buyout and then having a big name coach know that they can hold UNC’s feet to the fire bc UNC has to make a home run hire this time around . UNC will not be boring the next 3 years.

I think Lubin saw the writing on the wall that his PT would be going down, he’s got limited/little NBA upside, so he chased some cash.

Related, early footage on Veesaar looks great. Threw down a dunk, rotated out to the corner for a three and then to the elbow for a couple more.

Of the guys that left, I think only Drake Powell made a poor choice. Ian Jackson would have prospered on this new roster, but he went home and probably got a rich deal to do it. Drake going to be hooping in the G League.

I didn’t read that until just now. That’s really not much . I don’t know that it’s all Hubert, I don’t think he has a great staff around him .

It reminds me of Matt Rhule in Carolina (NFL). Seems like he just found some buddies that needed a job.

Sean May did great things while at Carolina but he’s no post game coach. 2 moves and his well is dry. It’s like Marvin Williams running point or Jackie Manuel having offense.
