When I was in the army, stationed in Germany, soldiers knew to the day how many they had left once they had less than a year left in country. During parties a guy might yell out "200 days!!!" Only to get shot down by another who responded "152!!!". But, the major milestone is "99"! Once you were under a hundred days, you attained the status of "Two Digit Midget!". When I see the countdown to our season, that's what I remember, and it's pretty cool. Can't wait until we're Two Digit Midgets!
