1 day and a "Night Before the Game Admittedly Off Topic Thread" + a wake up with Yankee's "Official Game Day" thread
Well, the season of my prognostication is over and it's time for a wrap. For the past 13 days, I have posted bits of information about each opponent.
My predictions are based on several variables and, as we all know, variables vary. So as the variables inevitably vary throughout the 2015 season, I reserve the right to vary my predictions. But, for now, in the perfect world of preseason, and before the variables start to vary, this is how I see it going down in 2015.
My statistical data showed us going 7-3-2 in 2015.*Of the 7 wins, only one, Oklahoma, is a benchmark win. The other 6 wins were what, imo, everyone expected.*The three losses are Georgia, Alabama, and Missouri.*
Alabama is ripe for the picking this year. However, I am not confident in our "pickers" just yet to harvest that big fruit. Only time will tell.
IF we do somehow pull an upset at Bama,...
(Hold that thought)
The two pushes I have are Florida and Kentucky. I do believe our Vols *have the personnel and the confidence this year to beat the Gators in the Swamp. Kentucky on the other hand, this year, is a sammich game.
(Insert held thought here)
...it will be an honest to God, good - No, GREAT year! However, there will be a price to pay. It is my belief that if WE beat Bama, we will be facing a 60% chance of losing to Kentucky.
Laugh, scoff, and flame at will, but I've seen it before. Emotional victories usually lead to a FLAT performance and a disappointing loss the following week. If CBJ can get our Vols to beat Bama and Kentucky in back to back weeks and finishes 10-2, folks, we are definitely going to have, in CBJ, a well deserved COY! SEC and NCAA! BANK ON IT!
My overall though, with my heart and statistics on my sleeve, I beleive we finish 9-3 this year.
POSITIVES: Victories over Oklahoma and Florida. One helluva game at Bama. 9-3 and another Bowl Game. Team experience and depth like the 90's and another top 10 recruiting class.*
NEGATIVES: Georgia will beat Auburn in the SECCG.
Thank you CBJ and Team 119 for putting the anticipation of high expectations back into the preseason of Vol Football. *Excitingly Electric!
Thank you Freak for providing Vol Nation to the fans. You have singlehandedly saved countless lives by providing us a place to vent and, therefore, kept us off the "Bell Tower".*
LOL
Can't Wait!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tomorrow, Friday, will be the start of the "Night Before the Game Admittedly Off Topic Thread". *
