Official countdown to kickoff 2015

I am bringing my son and father-in-law to the Arkansas game from Nebraska. We are Nebraska Huskers but have always wanted to experience a game at Tennessee and look forward to being a "Vol for a day." This seems like the place to go for tips on how to best enjoy the game day experience. Any helpful suggestions on what to do and where to be (we are flying in Friday morning) would be appreciated. Go Vols!

Howdy! Welcome to the UT experience!

My husband and I live in Ohio (he's a Buckeye fan, sadly) but we try to hit at least one UT game a year, and this is the game we're coming to since I (stupidly) gave my dad my Oklahoma tickets for his birthday.

Yeah, I'm a great daughter.

At any rate, we're coming in on Friday night late and will be doing the whole Saturday Vols experience. You're more than welcome to message me and we'd be glad to meet up and take you and your son around with us. Good choice on bringing him to a UT game. There's nothing quite like it. :)

Welcome to VolNation, MMcLaug! Hope you have a blast at the game. Hooking up with MscelinaVol and her family is a great idea. We'll be at that game as well, but won't get there until a couple of hours before kickoff because taking my 77 year old mother for her first ever visit to Neyland! :good!:

Real happy to have you with us on the forums here, too. Have always held Nebraska football and fans in great respect, ever since my college roommate, a Nebraskan who played linebacker for Army, opened my eyes to the Corn.

Welcome again!

This will be the longest couple of weeks for sure! I sold my Playstation 4 just so I could buy UT-Oklahoma tix. Do I get a permanent Vol card? :)

To paraphrase Einstein when asked to explain the theory of relativity, wait for the season opener for two weeks and it seems like a year; hang with Kate Upton for a year and it seems like two weeks - that's relativity.

Look for Tennessee to insert the 2nd and 3rd Stringers on the first offensive possession of the 4th quarter. Most of VN happy with victory and a few who arn't are starting threads titled "DeBord's 4th qtr offense stalled".
