this is according to the countdown on the first page

Bob Dobelstein
Manning the offensive and defensive lines after World War II was Bob Dobelstein at right guard, earning All-America honors as a junior in 1944. It was also the year he served as captain of the team, the only junior in UT history to do so until the 2003 season.

Tennessee did not field a team in 1943 because of World War II. However, Dobelstein helped lead the Vols to a 7-1-1 record in 1944, completing an unbeaten regular season before losing to Southern California in the Rose Bowl. Tennessee went 8-1 the following year to set the table for an SEC title run in 1945.

I would never dream of it, pard. Hell, that fella looks like he would see a broken jaw wherever he looked. I thank you kindly for the information.

Man I cannot wait to battle my way through the seas of orange to the vol walk. To buy a Neyland Stadium hotdog as I settle into my seats and to just feel the atmoshpere of 102,000 fans and to see the ole pig skin take off as it kicks off 2011!!!! GBO :)

Stowell earned first-team All-SEC honors in 1992. He was a four-year letterman (1989-1992) and a two-year starter (1991, 1992) and displayed versatility by playing both offensive guard and tackle during his career. Tennessee went 38-9-2 during Stowell’s career and he was a member of two SEC Championship teams.

Jamie Rotella became the sixth Tennessee linebacker to earn All-America status in seven years following the 1972 season. The Vols recorded a 31-5 mark during his three-year career.

After making 112 tackles as a sophomore and 111 as a junior, Rotella dominated on the defensive side his senior year and collected 190 total tackles at linebacker. His 413 career tackles were good enough to destroy the school record, although it has since been broken.

However, Rotella earned his total in just three years of varsity play. He topped the single-season Tennessee list of tackle assists with 90 in 1972.

i cant wait. its eating my soul. gonna buy ncaa 12 and play the crap out of it. it always helps pass the time

Anybody else think countdowns make the season come to a crawl. At least without them, I can forget a few days on the way lol

With the newspaper industry being at its current state, I think it's irresponsible for any outlets to travel out of state to attend this event.
