Kind of matches the performance tonight. Losing is one thing, but 37-14 with all the penalties, drops and blown plays is B.S. Just a total debacle.

at least crompton will have the second half of the 2009 season (minus the bowl game) to reflect upon. if he didn't have that stretch, his career at tennessee would have been a total failure.

Hate to see Crompton's career end on that....

That is how most of his career has gone and he has been a major reason why. A few good games in one year can't erase how bad he was and appeared to be tonight. I hate to see Eric Berry, Rico McCoy, Montario Hardesty and others go out like that myself. I'm happy the Crompton era is over because he has seemed to need more simplification and hand holding than any Vol quarterback I remember that got to start. I wish he went out better, but that is nothing new for one of his teams. Crompton actually did pretty good tonight....

Year 2 of the offensive and defensive systems. A full offseason to get these 2nd year players to master the systems. Monte Kiffin. And another top 10 recruiting class. Don't write off next year so quickly. This staff took a 5 win team and got them to a bowl.

I think the world of D Moore, I in no way was calling for his head in my post. All I was saying is that the WR class we have coming in, along with the return of G Jones and emergence of Teague will leave him without a spot. Not bashing him, just saying.

i've seen the vols outmuscled before (too many times), but this was one of the few times i saw a vol defense that looked a step slower (and getting manhandled).
