Lunardi has Vandy and Syracuse both as locks... Clemson at 6-12 in league play and 0-7 against top 25 teams as first four out....

Man, if TN could have just closed down the stretch we'd been a lock

No way they're a lock IMO...they may still be in as of this second, but they've definitely opened the door for someone to take their spot.

Maybe 18 but we talked about 17 being enough for the longest

You have been saying the last few weeks 3-1'wouldnt have been enough, that would've left the Vols at 17-13 heading into SECT. Most on here said to meet the 4 game over .500 mark they'd have to go 1-1 in SECT, leaving them 18-14 on selection Sunday.

I don't really recall anyone saying 17-14 would be a lock, I likely said it would have them in the convo which is evident by Syracuse and Vanderbilt, but much like Syracuse is doing we would be worrying for the next few days. At 18-14 I don't think there is really any doubt that Tennessee would've gotten in.

17-13 would have left work to do and if Vandy wins tomorrow would have left a lot of work to do imo. That's all I have been saying.

18-14 would have left a lot of doubt especially if Rhode Island, Kstate and wake forest win along with Candy

Yep, it's tough that we couldn't take advantage of a soft bubble. If we close the deal with any 2 combination of Oregon, UNC, Georgia, and Vandy along with beating LSU, then we are in.

I'll start by saying in the long shot that we get hot in the SEC Tourney and make it to the championship game, I think we will win the SEC Championship. But, if we make it to the SEC Championship game and LOSE, we still give the committee a bit more to think about and we are back closer to the bubble?

I see it highly unlikely all those teams win, IMO we are going to sit here on Sunday and think that an 18-14 Tennessee team would've been in.

Would winning the sec tourney make up for the meltdown? It would certainly ease it, but there's still something that needs to be fixed/looked at.

The thing about Vandy is if the committee doesn't care about the 15 loss issue - their resume is far better than some of these other bubble teams.

If you compare Vandy and Syracuse side by side with all of the metrics, it isn't even close. Vandy blows them out of the water.

It's about a 2% chance Tennessee makes it to the SEC championship, it would have to be a miracle .

These guys on SECN talking up Auburn possibly getting to SECC are crazy they have beaten nobody this year...their best win is against a 16-14 78 RPI TCU team that lost their last 7 games of the regular season
