Imo we are at the point where we are putting too much emphasis on these games.

Case in point lunardi moved Arizona down to a 5 seed after winning yesterday

It’s going to take Arizona winning their tournament to have a chance at passing us. Clemson too IMO.

Every single year I recall thinking that the conference tourney games meant almost nothing to the higher seeds. The "committee already had their seeds decided on" talk is prevalent most years

I think it matters for teams like Bama. It could potentially mean something between us and Auburn since we are very close in ranking and could potentially meet up in the finals. So overall I don't think it impacts us that much but it could mean the difference in being ahead or behind Auburn because it directly relates.

Yea it's big for bubble teams

That’s possible, but nobody knows...to put it simply, I feel better about our seed the more we win and the more teams around us lose.

Win 2 in the tournament and we are seeded over Auburn or just 1?

Just 1. We might could lose and still be seeded equally, or higher than them. AU is 2-4 in their last 6 games since McLemore got hurt. They aren't the same, and probably dropped a seed line down. The committee has to consider that. Meanwhile, Tennessee is 5-1 in their last 6 games, fully healthy, and hitting their stride. A loss to MSU isn't ideal, but it isn't a resumé breaker either.

I wonder if there's a chance of Auburn even sliding down to a 5 seed... I think a case can be made that they're a different team w/o McLemore.

BPI uses SOR predominantly. They’ve found in past years that is almost a direct indicator of how the committee seeds teams.
