Hoping for Outback or Taxslayer. UT fanbase should be accounted for getting one of these bowls. The economy likes the Vols.

Finishing 2nd in the SEC east. Yes, ahead of Kentucky, who Tennessee destroyed on the field.

Why the hell would Kentucky get Taxslayer when they would bring 5-10k fans opposed to UTs 30-40k fans?

They have already said they're not considering Tennessee.

Tennessee most likely will NOT go to the Outback bowl over LSU or Florida. Tennessee coming off a loss to Vandy probably won't travel well this bowl season.

I don't think UT would bring that many fans this year.

So because that link shows only 4 teams, they habe to take 1 of those listed? Like they have to?

Kentucky needs Music City Bowl. They would travel fairly (fairly) well to Nashville.

You don't think Vols fans will travel to Florida in the winter because some on VolNation said they won't?

Bowl Games want teams with momentum and excitement surrounding their programs. Which right now Tennessee lacks both, Tennessee traveled well the last 2 years because there was excitement and we were starved for good bowl games.

Notice the caption said in partnership with the Music City Bowl, that means they probably already have Tennessee locked up

After this hugely disappointing season, I'm finding it impossible to get it up for whatever bowl game the Vols might wind up in. It's surely going to be a low-tier bowl that no one really gives a rat's ass about, except the sponsor, against a really lame opponent.

I bet UK gets the Liberty Bowl. Their bball team plays at Ole Miss the day before that game. The best way to get their fans to travel to a football game this time of year is to dangle a Kentucky basketball game in front of them

Isn't it pretty much settled who will be in the top 3? Bama - playoff, Auburn - Sugar, Florida - Citrus?

So the Taxslayer bowl is only realistically considering Kentucky or Arkansas? Seems odd

I still think the Taxslayer would take UGA vs. Miami for the Richt angle. Then Arkansas and A&M will be in the Liberty or Texas Bowl. We'll be in the MCB vs. Minnesota or IU.

The Citrus could take LSU and send UF to the Outback bowl.

As far as the Taxslayer bowl goes, remember a few years back when Tennessee amazingly ended up in Jacksonville instead of Nashville? If you notice the caption from the Taxslayer bowl it says at the bottom in partnership with the Music City Bowl, so I'm thinking that bill from '14 has come due and Tennessee is heading to Nashville.

Just remember it isn't official until UT or Specific Bowl announces it. 2014 several outlets reported Liberty Bowl on selection Sunday and we ended up in Jacksonville.

From what I hear on the radio, the Outback bowl is not in play for us. Likely in state ( liberty/ music city) but Belk is a possibility. Ive also heard that Citrus is still in play although I dont personally believe it is, but the reason I hear is because Florida went last year.

This is the hand you are dealt when you lose to two garbage teams with losing records..

I think we will. People on this board is not a accurate reflection of most fans. I dare say half the people on this forum has probably never set foot in Neyland Stadium. We as fans support the players and the school regardless and we always show up.

I think we will be in Memphis for the Liberty Bowl.

Good Lord lets hope not!! I notice where you are from. Surely you don't want to subject anyone to Memphis for a football ballgame, let alone at this time of year. Personally I would not go if I was given tickets knowing it's only a 2-1/2 (if lucky) hour drive one way. Also, I'am sure the team would have a wonderful time in the gem city of Memphis.

So someone doesn't agree with your opinion, instead of having an adult conversation about it and presenting facts for your side you only throw insults. You sound very rational
