MCB will work for me too. I just have never understood why so many fans give Memphis such hate. We are the biggest city in the State and last I checked our blood is just as orange as the rest of the state

I checked on packages for Liberty Bowl and Belk Bowl and both were pretty much $1,000 for two nights at holiday inn, two tickets, and a party of some sort. Did not include taxi or drive and take parking risk at stadium. Definitely not like Citrus Bowl venue. Titans stadium and Broadway are a lot more convenient in and out...safer too!

Everyone keeps posting these links from Saturday Down South and whatever other websites they are pulling from. Nothing is official until it comes from UT or the direct bowl website, neither have happened.

I just laugh at the ignorance of the outsiders. I moved here from Middle TN in '06 and had the same fear they do. After living in the area for awhile I've really grown to appreciate the city. Sure you need to know which spots to avoid but every place will have those areas.

Plus the Liberty Bowl is in a safe part of the city. People don't have to be scared

Apparently the official announcement from SEC on remaining bowls will be at 4:30 central.

@Vol_Football: #VolNation, we have been told by the @SEC that official bowl announcements will be released at 5:30 pm ET.

According to UT, we don't even know yet.

The liberty bowl website is crawling, apparently a bunch of fellow fans have crashed the site buying tickets. It's going to be funny as hell when this reaction was jumping the gun and they announce UT somewhere else.

I'd say Knoxville is more gritty looking on the whole than Memphis. I'm from Jackson, been to Memphis about 1,000 times, and I like it. I go to UT now and I really can't tell the difference. Besides y'all mountain folk need to come down out of the thin air for a couple days anyway!! Go Vols!!

Born and raised in Memphis and been a Vol fan my whole life.

I'm starting to understand why more than a few of my neighbors have ill feelings towards Vol fans.

I've always told people around here they should support U.T. as it is our flagship university but I'm starting to get the impression fans in middle and east Tennessee don't have much regard for us over here.

A guy in another thread said something like he wished they could saw Memphis off and let if fall in the Mississippi River.

A lot of hatred here today.
