official bowl announcements date/time?

Does anyone know the exact day the 2015/2016 college bowls will be announced?.

Personally, i`m hoping for Outback against Michigan or Northwestern.

Sorry.
I am anxious to see where we land.
Hoping for a good bowl and a formidable opponent.
A bowl win against a good team would be a great start for 2016.

Everything should be announced by next Sunday or monday. After the playoff teams are announced and the other 6 big bowl matchups. Should kknowsometime Sunday.

In Monday's press conference, Hart said he expects the call from SEC office letting him know "late Sunday afternoon or early Sunday evening."

I'm confident we'll hear within an hour or two of UTAD hearing.

So look for news Sunday evening.

Everyone should know by now bowl invitations aren't extended 'til the power 5 conference championship games are played. Not sure but the match ups will announced either at noon or 6:00PM ET 12/7 Pearl Harbor Day. :question:

Really? I thought losing to UK would eliminate us. It's ok, just give Dooley time, 2012 will be nasty. As long as our defense isn't total garbage we'll be great! What could possibly go wrong?

If it is like last year, the CFP committee will make their decision on the playoff teams and the rest of the New Years six first. Once those decisions are made, the other bowl eligible teams are released for the conferences to consult with the bowl games on matchups.

So, on Sunday December 6th, sometime around 5:30 PM ET, we should hear or be close to hearing an official announcement from UT regarding our bowl destination.

But, remember, just like last year, there will be sites that will announce matchups ahead of the official announcements. These announcements are generally pure speculation. As we know now, they were a pretty good number of Vol fans who lost some money last year making reservations in Memphis for the Liberty Bowl, only to find out that the announcement was false when UT announced the TaxSlayer.
