Official bench Ramar thread.

CBP will be the first to say he lost the game.
as a coach anytime your team loses by 5 pts or less it is your fault.

I am not blaming him before you all start...But that is what coaches say.

I agree, Ramar did not play well, but the team as a whole didnt play well. Nobody stepped up after Lofton went cold. We were tired and over confident.

Ramar is only a sophmore. Look at how much Lofton has improved since he was a sophmore.

I REALLY think if Ramar works on the finer points of his game he can become a FREAKISH player in the SEC and perhaps the NBA.

ramar didnt help
3-9 from field..2-5 ft's as point guard..
those of you on here that say you know contest this.

pt guard is qb on the court..controls the game and should be best ft shooter...he sucks from FT line..UT would avg about 8 pts a game more if he were 80% or above as most good pt guards are...the pt guards from Vandy way outplayed him
as far as jordan...he did control the game better than ramar and if you look at timeline when each was in the game as a factor..UT won with Jordan in...lost big with Ramar in.
that was tonight.

bottom line is UT needs a real TRUE pt guard to get to the level where they almost are.
UT is not going to get a true PG this season, for 100% sure, so maybe they just won't get ....to....the level where....they ......almost .......are. (forgive the ellipses, but I was going to slow to try and figure out what you said).

Ramar and Howell are the choices. Pick your poison. Neither shoots FTs worth a plug nickel.

Howell turns it over less, but puts 0 pressure on the D. He as an absolute defensive liability.

Ramar cannot shoot (neither can Howell of late), but pressures the D because he can get to the hole on anyone and typically finishes well. He turns it over too much. He can play D.

Neither is the perfect solution that your advocating, but they are what we have available. Both will play.

My preference, Ramar because D wins big games.

But we DIDN"T hit our freethrows Bigpapa!!!

That is why we were on the short end of the stick of a 3 point game!

In a gritty, evenly matched game freethrows can make or break you.
you think Vandy backs it away and goes to stall mode if we're in it due to some previously made FTs? The argument about a couple more made FTs just doesn't work, unless they are the late variety with the game on the line. We missed a couple of those as did Vandy.

I didnt say Ramar couldnt be good.
i think he has a ton of upside potential..but in the three biggest games this year.....kentucky, memphis, Vandy.
he has done NOTHING

i hope he does get there. hopefully he is mvp of sec and ncaa tourney..

Xavier and Gonzaga were both bigger games than travelling to 7-9 Kentucky.

I wouldn't call holding your own against a future NBA stud "NOTHING".

Has this guy ever heard of kicking it out?

I swear he is the best in the world at taking it to the basket, then hurling up a spastic shot, and MISSING.

He can't hit freethrows, he can't pass, he scores about 5 a game, and commits TOO MANY tournovers.

Sure he is athletic, but he is our biggest liability.

PASS THE BALL RAMAR!

:banghead2::banghead2::banghead2::banghead2:

who is to replace him? Think we could get Jason Kidd in by the tourney.
