Official bench Ramar thread.

Yes I am saying that. Ramar has twice as many turnovers as Howell...and Ramar has made an amazing total of 5 3's all year.

What's Howell's stat line tonight?
0-2, 0 points, 1 rebound. and he couldn't have had too many assists.

At least Ramar does SOMEthing. Howell's next single should be "When I do nothing at all" (sung to the tune of "When you say nothing at all").

maybe I have played the point...And you guys are right bruce does know...thats why Howell has started more games at the point than ramar..

B/c Ramar was having off the court issues he was being "punished" for. We got into a flow with the rotation, and that was that.

And, the only place you've played the point is on NBA Live.

If Jordan Howell gets any more minutes I will have a heart attack. Ramar is better any day of the week. Do we have anyone else that plays the point? Please no one say JP.

the fact is, Howell is in the game for offense only -- nobody would disagree that he's a HUGE problem on defense (look at Derrick Rose on Saturday). He hasn't SCORED A POINT in 3 games. I understand resting Ramar throughout the game, but Howell was in the "stall" offense waaaay too long tonight. Ramar should have been in there every second he could have been. I love Pearl and think he's a great coach, but I think that having Howell in the game so long really MIGHT have cost us the game. I say "might" because there's no telling.

People are right he has the ability..But if all he is going to do is force shots and miss free throws..as it was said he is a liability. He hasn't played within our system and until he does he should take a seat.

Can we all end this thread on the fact that the future NBA Ramar Smith that we WILL come to know and ADORE hasn't arrived just yet!!!:rock::rock:

Why dont we just bench the whole motherfriggin team ??? Would that make some of you happy? There a post on here after every game that someone or another needs to be benched!

We need to take a deep breath. Ramar and Jordan both are going to play HUGE roles in how far this team goes along with JP yea neither one played a good game tonight but they have got to step it up. Ramar has got to get it under control. He was a 4 or 5 star for a reason. Hes going to be alright, his best basketball of the year has yet to be played.

This is almost an obscene notion.

Well, I may be pushing reality just a tad, but Ramar looked horrible tonight. I know Bruce is wanting him to do more, but his shot selections and not dumping the ball was extremely frustrating.

I bet the next game Ramar goes crazy after all these bench threads the play seems to step up lol, Lofton, Prince, and now Ramar.

wow, just wow. first ramar doesn't shoot 3's, everyone knows that. Howell hasn't even scored in 3 straight games, at least ramar gives us the chance to score. yes, his missed FT's most likely causes us the game. But remember last year against Ohio State...Chris Lofton's missed FT's lost us that game and we all know he is our best FT shooter, you miss some and you make some. These just came at a bad time.

If we bench Ramar and put Howell in the game things will only get worse.

the only good defense howell played tonight was when he tipped that ball out of bounds under the basket to the wide open vandy player.

I don't think Ramar cost us this game at all. Our front court (or lack of it, at least tonight) cost us this game. Wayne, Duke, B-dub, and TSmith didn't do much at all offensively.

TSmith did have a ton of rebounds, but an off night for sure.

We do need to bench Ramar. Maybe CBP will finally give Brian Williams a chance to play his natural position: the point guard.

Two equally stupid suggestions.

Those are some of the points im trying to make..Ramar isnt a scorer...And we dont need him trying to be.. We have Lofton, Jajuan, Tyler, Wayne, and JP. We could benefit a lot from his ability to penetrate if he would just kick it out or dish it off instead of throwing it up..

Has this guy ever heard of kicking it out?

I swear he is the best in the world at taking it to the basket, then hurling up a spastic shot, and MISSING.

He can't hit freethrows, he can't pass, he scores about 5 a game, and commits TOO MANY tournovers.

Sure he is athletic, but he is our biggest liability.

PASS THE BALL RAMAR!

:banghead2::banghead2::banghead2::banghead2:
I'd take Ramar any day over Howell. He didn't play well but he has had some good games. That's more than I can say for Howell.

Ramar had 19 against Auburn. He lead the team in scoring.
He's a slasher from the streets of Detroit. His game is making tough shots in the lane.

Did you miss the part where Ramar somehow influenced the rest of our team's poor free throw shooting?

I don't understand what your saying?

I just said that as a team we didn't get the job done on the charity stripe. As a result we lose 72-69.

I wasn't talking about Ramar. :whatever:
