I believe that we score between 52-56 on Memphis. Crompdaddy has a 3-4 TD day and the running backs get 3-4 as well. We should have at least 500 yards of offense or more against an outmatched Memphis team. Defense will be stout, but I believe that we give up some no meaning points in the 2nd half after putting in most of our 2nd-3rd teams. Gonna be a good day for the Vols, IMO.

My prediction was 59-0. I have few reservations with that pick.

Is it sad that I have more faith in my team scoring 59 than I do in my defense holding the opponent without any points?

This is going to be like a WKU beatdown. Statistically, Memphis might be a little better than WKU but think how much better we are since then.

I think if we score a major number of points like that (i say if because recent years as a Vol fan make me hesitate to view anything with certainty) it will be bacause of the freshman and second tier guys that are waiting to hurt someone.
Once Hardesty and Brown get breathers and Oku and Poole get a chance to play in front of 100,000 stand by. I see no way that they try and hold these guys back. Not to mention Nuke (who is chomping at the bit to put some issues to rest), etc. Hell, we may even get a taste of NS or Lamiason.

I am tellin you guys, if we play like we have been playing and they play like they have been playing, NO DOUBT we get to at least 50. This is not the same team or even cose to the team that upset us when Manning was here. That team had a follwing. This team gets maybe an average of 6,000 people to a game. I have watched these guys from day one this year. They are on their 3rd QB, people hurt, the town wants West fired. Way too many issues on and off the field. This is from this mornings paper here.

Tigers not defending well against run The Commercial Appeal

I'm saying something more like 35 - 3 would be more like it. We still have some issues in moving the ball, as in dropped passes, missed assignments, and wrong routes. Our D is really wanting to put up a shutout here, but I think with the injuries, it won't happen.

CLK will score as many points as he can. It's their job to stop us and I don't believe they can. We score 50 with ease.

I guess Pick deserves one more chance to play before he graduates. It might as well be clean-up duty versus Memphis...

My pick is 45-3 for my local pick-em. I think I'm being a bit conservative. It's ok though, since I'm the only UT fan nobody else will pick anywhere close to that high. I expect to see some 38-10 and 35-6 picks from my co-workers. They are Auburn and Florida grads, so they are finding it hard to recognize that this is a different team post-Auburn.

I'm going one up Eric, and say we hang 60 lol

As the article pointed out, Memphis' run defense is terrible. We may run for over double our season rushing average per game.

Tennessee - 52

Tiger High - 6
