Official 2010 Football Season Prediction Thread

UT Martin-W
Oregon-W
Florida-L (I hope the home crowd will have it's effect but doubtful to pull out a W)
UAB-W
@LSU-L (But we'll keep it close)
@UGA-W
BAMA-L
@Scar-W
@Memphis-W
Ole Miss-L (I think we overlook this one and end up with a loss)
@Vandy-W
Kentucky-W

So, 8-4.

8-4 with a agreat start...

Tennessee Martin - W
Oregon - W
Florida - W
UAB - W
LSU - W
Georgia -L
Alabama -L
S. Carolina - L
Memphis - W
Mississippi - L
Vandy - W
Kentucky - W

I will say 9-4 including the bowl game. I know that everyone thinks the pantry is bare, and for the most part they are right. However, i think (hope) this team plays with a lot of heart and fire. The Wilcox coached D will be very nasty early in the year.
One of the early wins will be against UF mark it down.

UTM- W
ORE- L
FLA- L
UAB- W
LSU- L
UGA- W
BAMA- L
USC- W
MEM- W
MISS- W
VANDY- W
KY- W

I know I'm being optimistic here. I honestly think if we stay healthy (probably won't happen) that we will surprise some people.

8-4

UTM- W
Oregon- W
UF- L
UAB- W
LSU- L
UGA- L
UA- L
USC- W
Memphis- W
Ole Miss- W
UK- W
Vandy- W

Wilcox schemes Oregon.
We win 5 in a row to end the season with momentum into next season.
Recruits start thinking Tennessee with another top 10 class.

4-8

Tennessee Martin - W
Oregon - L
Florida - L
UAB - W
LSU - L
Georgia -L
Alabama -L
S. Carolina - L
Memphis - W
Mississippi -L
Vandy - W

8-4!! A bit optimistic but I think we can do it! I don't think we go below 6-6 @ worst.

Tennessee Martin - W
Oregon - W
Florida - L
UAB - W
LSU - L
Georgia -W
Alabama -L
S. Carolina - L
Memphis - W
Mississippi - W
Vandy - W
Kentucky - W

8-4

We will lose to FL and Bama. We'll lose two and win two among Oregon, LSU, Ga, and SoCar. Win the rest.

We'll be better than expected because Simms will be surprisingly effective due to his having so many more playmakers than we had last year and due to Wilcox's defense being better than expected. Special teams will be much improved and that'll make a significant difference (I can't imagine them being worse).

I'm honestly feeling 7-5 is more likely, but reject going with the lower prediction on general principle arising from the fact that it's less than ten days from football season and I'm ready. :dance2:

GBO!

1) 4-7.

I don't count teams from lower divisions (UT-Martin) being paid as sacrificial lambs

2) Recruiting class ranking: outside the top 20. But Dooley snares one surprise "big fish".

3) Defense plays well at the end of the season, despite the lack of depth. Wilcox gets multiple head coaching offers. He accepts one. 4 DCs in 4 years.

4) Mike Hamilton announces resignation after Christmas. (Note: this prediction is predicated on my ancillary prediction that there will be at least one more major Fulmer-Cup-level incident involving UT football or basketball athletes.)

UT Martin W
Oregon W can't loose your main player! Especially at QB.
Florida L
UAB W
LSU W road upset!! Us against Chief. Inconsistent at QB.
Georgia L proven running attack and unknown QB. Homefield advantage goes to dogs.
Alabama L
South Carolina W program in disarray. Won't recover!
Memphis W
Ole Miss L the main player from the other team shows up big.
Vanderbilt W the Vandy ladies want to get inseminated!!
Kentucky W should have all the kinks worked out barring major injuries and looking at a bowl to impress recruits.

We go 8-4 and are talk of the SEC. Mike Hamilton dodges bullet for Kiffin hiring. Program going in right direction and higher rated recruits take notice and some visit. Face UNC in Chicken Bowl and whoop'em. Go BO!!
