OK, I am not Nostradamus (actually I am).....but I am going to try to reason out the most likely outcome for this upcoming football season.
Please let me know what your prediction is.....I'm sure someone will be right.......

Prediction 7-6

Sep. 4 Tennessee Martin - WIN
Sep. 11 Oregon
Sep. 18 Florida
Sep. 25 UAB - WIN
Oct. 2 at LSU
Oct. 9 at Georgia
Oct. 23 Alabama
Oct. 30 at South Carolina
Nov. 6 at Memphis - WIN
Nov. 13 Ole Miss - WIN
Nov. 20 at Vanderbilt - WIN
Nov. 27 Kentucky - WIN

At end of season - 6-6, Bowl eligible, we win our bowl and finish 7-6, the same record as last year!!! :eek:lol:

If we can beat 4 terrible teams (UAB, Memphis, UT-Martin, and Vandy), one semi-bad team (KY), and one semi-good win (Ole Piss, LameCox, UGA, Oregano, etc.) then we will be good......So, unless this season is a total disaster, then we should be bowling........

And then we will build from there........

I think we squeeze 7 out of the regular season. I think we can pull and upset on maybe Oregon or UGA. However, you might be dead on.

After a 2-6 start, this team is unlikely to recover and win 4 straight. 5-7 with a loss at home to Ole Miss. Tough year.

I just think we'll drop one to someone we shouldn't and it's coming off a win against Ole Miss.

I don't think Dooley or anyone on this staff is going to let the team be complacent for an "inferior" opponent. They're too intense.

8 wins this year. Just because this team wants to do better than what they did under Kiffin.

I'm sure the team wants to win a National Championship. That doesn't mean there's a remote possibility that it happens.

Here's my prediction. I will watch every game and probably get ****faced drunk for most of them.

i really don't know how tennessee avoids going 2-5 to start the season.

if that's the case, then the bad mojo bubbles up. everyone will want dooley's head, the seniors won't be able to leave fast enough, etc, etc, etc.

it will be a long year.

LONG POST
Sep. 4 Tennessee Martin- W(Its Tennessee Martin)
Sep. 11 Oregon- W(I think we come out and beat a depleted Oregon team in a hard fought battle.)
Sep. 18 Florida-L(Results similar to last year's game.)
Sep. 25 UAB- W(Its UAB)
Oct. 2 at LSU-L(Too many play makers on their side for them to lose this, even with Miles's coaching.)
Oct. 9 at Georgia- L/W(For some reason we play well against them.)
Oct. 23 Alabama- L(Sorry no chance. They will be better than last year)
Oct. 30 at South Carolina- L/W(We worked them last year and I dont see improvement on their side)
Nov. 6 at Memphis- W(Its Memphis)
Nov. 13 Ole Miss- W(They will do nothing this year)
Nov. 20 at Vanderbilt- W(Its Vandy)
Nov. 27 Kentucky- W(We dont lose to UK. 25 years!)

Believe it or not I think we will be better this year than last year. Why do I think that? We lost our starting QB, definately one and possibly our two leading RBs, all of our offensive line, our best and maybe only DT, definately one and maybe our two best LBs, a starting CB, and ERIC BERRY. Our schedule is far tougher this year than last year. And our team and fanbase have endured a shot to the nads, a really bad one too.

Ok so I can't give a good reason why I think we are better. I just think that this year we seem to be worse off, but fairly balanced. Last year noone knew what they were doing scheme wise because everyone was in question. Also last year the entire focus was on Lane Kiffin, not the team. Granted that did take some pressure off the teams shoulders, but it also took away the oppurtunity for leadership and responsibilty among the better and more experienced players.

Also bare in mind that last year if Crompton turns the corner before UCLA and if we have a kicker, then we beat UCLA, Auburn, and Bama and go 10-2 with losses to UF and Ole Miss(possibly making a BCS game or very good bowl game).

I think we could win one of the games I said could go either way, but just to be safe,
I predict us to go 7-5 regular season with a bowl game win. So 8-5 total. However, If we win a swing game and somehow go 8-4, I think we lose the bowl game. So either way I see us going 8-5 total.

7-5 and a trip to a minor bowl game. alot of this depends on if ut doesn't get their spirits down after a 2-5 start. it could easily be a losing season. i view south carolina and ole miss as tossups but i'll give us the benefit of the doubt.
