Can CBJ take these offers away? or does he have to take the kids if they happen to commit?

I would imagine that there are some kids that CBJ might not want to have for various reasons.

Nothing is official until they sign the paper. Goes both ways

We only have 13 graduating seniors, so we don't have many scholarships to give. However; with four underclassmen considering the N.F.L., we could get
more open slots. Bray, James, Hunter & C.P.

So, that is a potential for 17 slots that are open. Also, add in Omari Phillips and Bonner. Of course, we are not sure what their exact future would be here, but in the event that they move on, then that would make a potential for 19 slots that are open...

A great running back. A big, fast receiver or two. More monster offensive linemen. Fast, quick, instinctive defensive backs. Some defensive linemen, preferably from junior college...

Not correct - we have 27 scholarships to use (although some have to be EE)

We will have a full recruiting class...we have 13 seniors, at least 4 considering going pro, some will transfer. At least 3-5 scholarship players transfer every year, plus we have some graduating this december....

Please don't start naming recruits we should tell to look elsewhere. None of us has that knowledge (I think Johnny Football was a 3-star), and it's not cool. Trust CBJ to make those decisions.

Interesting you bring up Johnny Football. Hard to believe Mack Brown didn't offer him or RG III a chance to play QB at Texas. Two straight Hiesman winners Fromm the state of Texas. To add to that....Mack's main issue the last couple of years has been QB play.

I just want to second this statement. Sometimes the star gazers get all excited and say things that run good players off. We all, as arm chair quarterbacks, forget that what we put in writing can very well hurt our team. We need to let the coaches make the decisions, not us.

I kind of disagree about the star gazer issue. We heard the press conference. We will have the best coaching staff, we now have one of the best sports facility. With the exception of some needed fill in positions I would expect to see plenty of four and five stars.
And before someone says that 3 stars can win. They rank them for a reason and more four and five stars will be a better team on average and make a great statement about the UT brand.

Don't forget that it's possible that Sentimore may not be back. I'm hearing his grades may not be that great. I may be wrong though.

We could lose quite a bit. But that gives us plenty of spots available. And it's beginning to sound like we may be able to fill it with quality players.

You usually honor any current offers, but tell certain players the truth that they may be better off somewhere else. Sometimes they don't fit in your system. Example: Taj Boyd to Clemson when Kiffin came in.

He is an exception, not the rule. Playing mostly 3* players won't win you SEC championships. You gotta have studs in this league.

Also, ROT James said keeping or not keeping Pittman would affect his decision whether to declare early. You might add big Dan and Mo to the possible kids declaring early. Not saying they are ready yet at all, just think they'll consider it. Hopefully, the new coaches are up to the task, and bond quickly with the team.

I think Mo is staying going by his twitter.
