Its funny how fans at all schools want loyalty from coaches but will not show loyalty in return after some bad years. I'm not saying that Fulmer should be retained but lets recognize that "only sense of loyalty... to himself" is sort of a dumb standard.

when bail on a team every 2-4 years, I think it is a very valid standard

Mr. Money bags had taken Bama to #2 in his second year.

I do not think Saban will leave bama for a while. I am afraid he will be around a while.

If Saban wins the national title this year or next (which is likely), look for some NFL owner to come calling again, offering the moon ($7-8 mil, etc.), which Saban would look at carefully.

Offer Saban $1 more than his current contract and he's interested. $2 more and he's on a plane.

Then Saban would just leave again but if he leaves the program in as good shape as LSU and Bama.... who cares?

No...He's got that horrible Bama smell that never comes off...Why hire a prostitute to coach your school for a couple of years when you know he'll leave at the first decent offer?...Don't even bring his name back up again, Makes me want to puke a little lol

Yeah lets keep Fulmer cause we know noone will come head hunting for him!

We might be able to get Pete Carroll for around 5 million a year. I would rather have him for 5, than Saban for 6 to 7.

He would be the last coach I would want but he wouldn't leave now anyway....I suspect he is not anxious to go thru another scenario of making himself look like a greedy, low-life like he did when he left Miami. There are other great coaches that we could pursue like Muschamp, Butch Davis, Bill Cowher or Jon Gruden....any one of these would be preferable.

How is getting paid millions for lousy results and refuse to leave any less greedy?
