HV, Are you sure that Paige is faster than Rogers?

Other than that, I don't think your line up is as far fetched as it might sound. Didn't Millwood kind of wink at the notion that something like this had been talked over with G Jones?

Brent Hubbs has said that Paige is just a tad slower than O'Neal, Vinson, and Berry but it would be a great 4 leg race. He runs a sub 4.4, as do the others. Rogers does as well, but, as a WR and route runner, Paige seems to be heads and feet over the others.

Yeah, it has been said that GJ would run the mustang before Berry because of the need for Berry to get CB down.

You know, its my opinion that the last time Tennessee ran the single wing, the downstream consequences were quite significant.

Someone with more historical knowledge please correct me if I am wrong but I have heard over time that when Spurrier came out of high school, it was very likely he was coming to UT. However, Tennessee was running the single wing at the time and he was a passer, so he ended up at Florida.

Let me qualify now by saying I don't like Spurrier and I am no fan of the single wing.

But I do wonder what the downstream impact would have been had he come to Tennessee instead of Florida. His experience as a QB down there led to his eventual migration to head coach. As head coach, as much as I dislike him today, I don't think anyone can argue he helped to make the SEC what it is today in terms of competitiveness.

I don't know if anyone else will find it an interesting thought, but I do wonder where Tennessee would be today had the single wing NOT been our style of play back then?
