Offensive coordinator search thread

If CJP wants to stay in-house, QC coach Joe Osovet would be a good choice. The guy knows offenses and could find the scheme that would work with our current personnel. He could then adapt it once CJP recruits the people he wants.

I was not impressed with QB coach at all. JG never learned how to get the ball out; on long balls, he waited until receiver was already out of range. Many of the catches on long balls were outstanding catches by receivers. They usually had to come back, or slow down. Although the offensive line was not real good, they could not hold people out long enough for JG to hold the ball and try to decide what to do. Either JG cannot learn, or the QB coach was unable to teach basic fundamentals. Either way, do not want him as OC.

I want someone that runs Lane Kiffin's system not named Lane Kiffin. It's the perfect combo of run, pass, multiplicity, and simplicity.

I know I will get shredded for this but my first call would have to be to Peyton Manning and make him say Yes. He also ran a pro style offense for a long time.

I would be willing to bet Ol Phil has been in communication lol. I’m shocked Tee hasn’t come up much either.

Because Tee flunked being an oc. He's a recruiting coordinator at best. I'd rather see what Trooper Taylor has been up to... But not really.

Kendal Briles. There’s been a huge drop off in FAU’s offense since he left for Houston. Checkout Houston’s offensive numbers this year

He played in a pro style offense. He didn’t run or coach anything. This is the same as people saying hire Tee last offseason. Outside of him being a UT alum, there is zero reason to hire either of those guys.
