reading it way wrong. Just find it comical that Freeze does get a pass because he's a good coach, but it's a mix exaggerating Schiano's role in the Sandusky issue and making a huge deal out of the differences in the morality of each issue. I just wish more people would admit it's about coaching level than that they've both done questionable things in the past.

Being a better coach is part, but Freeze NOT being the head coach I think makes a bigger difference.

We are rebuilding not reloading. Our team isn't winning a championship next year so we need stability and consistency not a mercenary looking for a Hc gig.

Glad to know you’ve never made a mistake in your life. Schiano and Freeze situations are nothing alkke

Great in theory, but in today's win-now-or-else world, its a) have a great season and risk your now-hot coordinators leaving for HC jobs, or b) continue to suck because no one wants your sucky coordinators. Sadly, it doesn't seem you can have it both ways.

If I have to make this Hobson's Choice, I'd rather have a 1-3 season rental on a sh*t-hot coordinator that can take us to the top, than continue to be 'stable' at the bottom with poor-to-mediocre coordinators. But, that's just me.

Glad to know you're not even commenting on the argument at hand. Says a lot about where you are in the situation. Get over it. You already admitted you accept Freeze because he's a good coach and won't accept Schiano because he's not a good coach. That's the only point here.

duh. obviously, the coaching ability is what you're paying for. I do think, that assuming the worst in each man's situation, one is a hell of a lot worse than the other. It sounds like you buy into Schiano's version of events. I have a hard time believing he was in that building and did not know what was up. Tomato/to-mah-toe.

Worst case, he’s low man on the totem pole, saw it, then did tell people he saw it.

Freeze literally called for hookers on a state phone, lied about it and paid women for their services.

Anyone saying anybody other than Hugh Freeze needs to stop walking around here like their sh*t don't stink. Nothing can stink worse than this program has over the past decade plus. Wake up people and quit being so d*mn soft. Hire Freeze and the 'Tennessee Holy Waters' can pound rocks and take their "moral highground" somewhere else. The guy has been punished. Grow up. Move on. Let's win football games. FFS!

Would love to see Freeze here for as long as we can get him, especially with his recruiting ability. But with our luck we will probably wind up with another Bamer.
