Reflecting on losing recruits that stung #7 Jatarie White deciding on S.C. over TN. Then she got hurt, and then transferred to the University of Texas.

No reason to speculate on her first decision or her second decision - I just brought it up because boarders wrote volumes on her "leaning toward" Tn and now she her recruitment is an almost forgotten memory. And both players AND boarders move on.

She also signed the same year as Aja Wilson didn't she? Kinda reminded me of Mompremier signing with Kalani Brown. They wanted to play but were behind (in basketball ability) players signing at their position the same year.

Only because A'ja was trying to convince everyone she was a guard 😂. Personally, I think Alaina Coates was the one in Jatarie's way.

As for the boarders who post about who is leaning where, it's clear they are guessing as much as anyone else, unless they personally know the recruit. Because if you've read here, then there were quite a few 2018 top 20 prospects who were "leaning" to Tennessee and Tennessee didn't make their final list. I mean, it's fun to speculate and all, but none of these guys have any real insider info, except maybe DeerPark.

DP probably doesn't know about recruits either, because the staff doesn't know. These are 17-yo kids. Their minds change on a whim. For example, DeCosta was a strong TN lean right up to near the BU visit. Players, parents, coaches all VERY surprised and disappointed.

Recruiting is a tough biz, especially when you try and play by the rules.

I could see her being a Grad transfer and spending her final year of eligibility elsewhere in the 2018-2019 season as Texas will have Rellah, Holmes, Prince, Collier as younger Post that they want to get minutes for

I thought Rellah wants to be a wing? That would leave Holmes, Prince, Collier and White as the post rotation, and it would probably be Prince that is odd-woman out that year assuming Jatarie has a productive season this year.

That's just it. All fanbases will say that Player X was a strong lean to their school right up until the end. Not to pick on mtsuraider, as I enjoy his posts, but people here act like his opinion with regards to recruiting decisions is any more insightful than other posters who follow the team. Maybe he knows when a visit is a hot mess, but otherwise, his guess is as good as anyone else's.

I really don't know the source or extent of his insight, but I wanted to add that I'm a big fan of his posts, too. Well-said.

Rellah does want to play Wing and probably will on offense but wont guard the wings defensively

Collier was also promised she would play wing as well

Coaches make promises to get players to sign and then things change!

Prince fits more into what coach Karen perfers at the 5 as she is long and plays similar to Lang and Imani Boyette

We shall see though
