Had to get these thoughts off my chest real fast. If it's been said a million times already - fine - delete the post.

*To the people saying, "Nobody wants to coach at UT now."

You're basically saying, "Nobody wants to come make 7 million dollars a year to coach football."

I think a whole helluva lot of excellent coaches would be more than glad to endure a lot worse situation than coaching football at Tennessee for 7 million dollars a year.

And, yeh, they better be offering at least that much to top tier coaches. I say they ought to offer Petersen 10 million.

*What motive would Mike McQueary have, under oath, for falsely naming Schiano as a witness to molestations?

I can't figure out what his benefit would have been. I've not heard any good answers to this but I'm glad to hear you out.

*I read some good quotes earlier today that need to be heard by all the people who are telling us we don't deserve a better coach than Schiano.

“When mediocrity becomes the accepted norm, excellence dies a painful death.” Rashida Rowe

And, “Mediocrity is excellent to the eyes of mediocre people.” Jospeh Joubert

I don't even know who Rash and Jo Jou are but - spot on.

First off I think Schiano would have been a disaster hire. But not for the Sandusky stuff. He's just an ass of a person.

But to answer your question. Why would Bradley the guy that supposedly Schiano told that he saw something completely and utterly deny that it ever happened? What motive would he have to deny it? McQueary never heard Schiano say it. It came from someone else. Why believe one and not the other? Its nothing more than hearsay and I for one am not going to be part of trying to ruin someone's career based on a rumor.

Don't hire the guy because he's a crappy coach.

Yeah, it's pretty stupid.

"NO ONE WANTS TO INCREASE THEIR NET WORTH BY A BARE MINIMUM OF $20 MILLION OVER THE NEXT 3 YEARS!"

The media is ridiculous and just trying to shove their agenda down our throats. I've disliked ESPN for awhile (not so much for the typical "ESPN HATES US!" stuff, so much as I see it as trash TV), but this makes me wish we could do without them altogether.

The testimony came from McQueary’s civil suit against the university for whistleblower status and damages. Although he was under oath I could see the incentive for him to make it sound like a well-known rumor/conspiracy in the athletic program. That would prove he was a whistleblower if more people knew and did nothing. However, a judge and jury believed his story to the tune of $12 million in damages so TIFWIW. Schiano was a terrible hire any way you look at it

If your at a car lot and the salesman says "how about this truck? It's nice but it may or may not have been in a flood under water."

You going to buy it? Ofcourse you won't. Please stop with the holier than you chest beating.

He could have ended the perv's deal earlier if he paid closer attention to what was going on. When it comes to that it's all our watch all the time. He is at the very least guilty of poor attention to details.

He is a google coach with a bunch of baggage.

Bullet dodged

ESPN was never going to talk bad about Schiano, they hired him when he was out of football for 2 years after getting fired from the Bucs. If they would have agreed with anything about our concerns with Schiano then that would have raised questions about their hiring/vetting process and how much they knew about Schiano and Penn State. Not gonna happen.

You need to know why Beadley denied it?

Because he chose his job over reporting it to the police.

That want too difficult was it?

Or he simply didn’t know anything about it. How well do know Mr. Bradley? Or are you just making assumptions? Do know anything about the mans ethical character? Or is it simply guilt by association? I don’t know him either but I’m not gonna judge the man based on association. But if you feel comfortable doing so that’s on you.

Schiano lost to Butch 63-31 in 2010! His record of 68-67 wasn't good enough to shine Dooley's shoes let alone be our HC. Everyone is Tampa Bay hated him- control freak, terrible attitude. Didn't we just fire a guy like that? Was good at Rutgers, Rutgers! Even with the rumors of the Penn State stuff, he wasn't good enough to be the HC. I'd take Les Miles, Kiffin, Norvell over that guy any day of the week!

Devil’s advocate...If Bradley didn’t deny it then he is admitting that he had knowledge of Sandusky’s behavior and did nothing. So of course he would deny that conversation ever existed....again, just playing devil’s advocate
