from a Houston paper she threw it into reverse and tried to run over the deputy
aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
Deputy shoots and kills suspected shoplifter - Houston Chronicle
deadly weapon
How does that add up?
If she's in reverse and the officer is in danger of being run down, that means he is behind the car. it said he was by the door (assuming the passenger side).
Sounds like terrible police work AND reporting.
You're actually doing something good with this thread. Keep going.
I took it to mean that the passenger side door was open and he was in the path of the door if she put it in reverse.
She wasnt killed for shoplifting.
He said he was pinned between the car door and the drivers seat while the car was accelerating backward.
