I got one for the front porch this weekend, and the thing really works. I just set it on the table by my chair and the skeeters fled and didn't return.

No odor, very little noise. Finally something that works, that you don't have to spray on your body...

You could just drain the koi pond and get rid of your ornamental bird bath collection.
It's not so much the koi pond that causes the problems as it is the statue of Johnny Majors holding a bug zapper.

Is there a statue of Phil hiding behind the tree?

On topic: Thanks for the info O'dubya. We returned from a family trip to the Georgia coast, and my kids still have skeeter bites all over them.

I'm pretty sure the only remedy for the gnats, skeeters and noseeums in down here is a flame thrower.

Just trying to find the correct visual and the more I read the post the more gross it felt. :)
:eek:lol:

I've been in KY for twenty years. I've forgotten what it is like to put a gallon of Skin-So-Soft on before you can go outside.

I've wondered if a breeze would affect them? I live close enough to the coast that there is always enough of a breeze to keep the mosquitoes away.

I will have to pick-up one. Mosquitoes don't bother me, but my wife can't walk outside without being attacked by a swarm.

I love those things.

Isn't it strange that some people attract mosquitoes while others don't get a single bite?
