Oden NBA Lottery Pick --- Yea Right

I know this has been covered but Oden looks like a dead-man walking on the court. I usually don't care if a player is flamboyent (Noah) or generally mild (Lofton) but sometimes I feel like someone should check his pulse to make sure his heart is still beating.

That's because Oden looks like an 86 year old man. I was waiting for him to call Noah "Sonny".

I'm not sure the stuff about next year without Oden merits any comment, but I have to say that with Oden, they're preseason #1, without him. they're substantially south of that.

Substantially south as in, top 5?

I'm thinkin' outside the top 10. Most writers seem to be disagreeing with that, but it's all a crap shoot until rosters are settled. Many are assuming that Conley will be a monster next year, but I'm not buying it. He's a very good player, but will not dominate. Very few PGs can dominate.

Durant is a really special player. But he has to find his way to compete with other PF in the NBA. Or he could thy SF. The best thing is that he will be a all-star if he can play with his own way. BUT if he can't, he will just f*** up his whole career, like the JJ something from Duke.

On the other hand, Oden is the much less risky 1st overall pick becuase his size. But so far it looks like that is pretty much all he has (in the standard of a NBA center) He does not play as smart as Durant. He does not know how to use his energy effectively. Also, he is not tough enough. Just look at when he was 1v1 with Richard. Oden did not give any pressure when he was defending Richard. That is extremely dangerous cuz the main type of pro center he will face are virturlly muscle beasts.

But anyway, he will deserve 10M per year in the pro if he is doing what he is doing right now. He gets paid based on his size, power, and popularity he gained in college.
But if wants be the next A. Sturdmire or the next D. Howard, he has a long way to go.

Man, I was really hoping for the derogatory one-liner, and all you post is you're lost for words. :shades:

His comments are in the right direction - but way, way out in that direction.
your ability to decipher those comments brings the picture into better focus for me

He comes to life when he throws down a dunk... his reaction makes it look like there is an electric current running around the rim.
