Odds of the Vols winning the next 4 games

meh. bad comparisons imo. i think when people try to lump us in with other teams struggles, it's an attempt to be part of something so as to make it look not as bad.

i thought Ole Miss would come back down to Earth this year. FSU is a little less explainable...the should be better, but i'd say their prospects for the future are better than ours....they've recruited a little better than us, and they play in the ACC. and Hugh Freeze has already had enough success by beating Bama, LSU, auburn etc...with some semblance of regularity he has credit that Butch doesn't.

ND is a mess, and i wouldn't want to trade places with them...at best that's a lateral move currently.

possibly. his personality might be a good fit. he's likeable, and his overall penchant for getting fans and media "fired up" about football in general would go over well for a while up there.

the downside, there's no conf championships to hang your hat on...it's literally play off or bust for them every year, which makes being consistently successful there....difficult to say the least. you can go 10-2 every year and have nothing to show for it.....

and that would put Brian Kelly back on the Market.

and with some more possibly big brand name schools possibly on the market this off season...the coaching carousel could be interesting.

you could wind up with Les Miles, Brian Kelly, Charlie Strong all available...and then there are the ones that might get plucked.....Tom Herman, Dan Mullen, Bobby Petrino, Chip Kelly....

if i were going to be making a change this year, i'd hate to be the last one to the table....it's going to be a buyers market.

I think the best we can hope for, is a different team comes out this week...I doubt we cover, but this team has played 34 qtrs this year, and in less than 10 has execution been acceptable.

Where'd the extra 2 qtrs come from?

Hey, everybody! Anyone missing 50 cents?

p.s. I personally count about 18 of the (32) quarters they've played as decent football. With you in concept, but your numbers and mine are off.

Ok.....

Here's the deal. If they lose to T-Tech or Missouri, the FBI should investigate to see if members of the team have any mob connections and are throwing games.

Vandy can play defense, but the most points they have scored against a Power 5 team is the 17 against Georgia. 6 vs. Florida. 10 vs. SC. 7 vs GaTech. 13 vs. Ky. I have to believe Tennessee will score 17 or more.

Kentucky is the only game I think is technically possible to lose. I would still be extremely surprised if that happened.

UK is mega bad

If Vols play as they did against SC, UK has a pretty decent chance. Stoops is a good coach and he'll be studying what Bama and SC did against Vols. UK players will be highly motivated and fans will be pumping them up too.

Unless this by week cured cancer. We will win all but the Kentucky game. Since the a&m game we have been on a tale spin down. We shall see.

We'll lose at least one of the SEC games. Will be ugly off season and Butch will be on the hot seat for 2017. There won't be a coaching change until after the 2017 season at least.

Given everything that's going wrong with Tennessee football, all the injuries, Hurd leaving, and then getting beat by a true frosh QB that should still be in high school. What odds do you give the Vols to win out?

slim & none
