1. Why does he constantly call plays to the left side? Pretty predictable.

2. Why is he on the side-line ?

3. How much longer will he be the OC ?

1. Why does he constantly call plays to the left side? Pretty predictable. - He doesn’t, in fact they commented last week about how often he ran right and said it was likely due to not having Trey.

2. Why is he on the side-line ? - Because he and Pruitt felt it better that he be able to directly communicate with JG during the games.

3. How much longer will he be the OC ? - Probably 2 more years at a minimum, but that’s just speculative on my part.

1. He probably has no faith the right side can block. That would be because they can't.
2. He is on the sideline because Pruitt wants him there.
3. He will be the OC until Pruitt decides he wants someone else. Helton is not the problem with the Offense. We need a much better line. Should have help coming next year.

I wish he would try to throw more to open up the run game instead of stubbornly running on early downs when the running game is constantly losing yards. Our passing game is facing third and long way to often because of that. That's my main complaint about him.

Question for you. I think I have missed some recruiting news but who or what is the help coming to the o line next year? Thanks.

1- He calls plays to the right side... and to the left. But there's only so much he can do with a OL that can't block, middling RB's, and a QB that doesn't know how to read D's and make the right calls at the line.

2- Pruitt told him to coach from the sideline so he could directly relate to and coach the players. IOW's, they've been so poorly coached in the past that it is necessary to coach them up on the sidelines during games.

3- Hard to say. There's a decent chance though that he chooses NOT to risk his career waiting on more talent than Pruitt fires him knowing he has little chance of getting anyone as good to coach such a poor offensive roster.

demoting Tee Martin helped USC already -- and answer for # 2 Kifffin was always on the sideline at Alabama -- as are all their OCs, remember Pruitt has to be like Alabama

Anyone think Lampley be a big contributor?

With the way they have played this year, anybody has a chance.

I could see all these guys contributing next year:
Morris (assuming we keep him)
Wright (assuming we get him)
Lampley
Carvin
J Johnson
R Johnson
Richmond
Niehaus
Tatum
Kennedy
Locklear

You honestly think he does this because he is stubborn? Also despite the consensus on this board this is not his first year as a coordinator. Come on gang, I know it's hard to, but this year is just what it is, with hopes of a bowl game to get the practice.
