What about Jim Hofher as the new OC. He is the HC at Buffalo, but he is being fired after this season. He used to be the QB coach here at UT and has been a RB, WR, OL, TE and ST coach at various colleges.

Here is his bio:

Are we suppose to be impressed with this guy or are you just trying to make a funny sarcastic post?

How about this . . . let's don't get anyone that has UT ties unless they are worthy of be hired for other reasons (i.e., John Gruden would qualify under this explanation).

I'm sick of us looking primarily for coaches that have UT ties, rather than getting the absolute best coach out there.

But would Fulmer trust one of Majors boys?

In 1989, Fulmer was the OC, so Hofher would have been the QB coach while Fulmer was the OC. Majors' boys? If loyalties were that strong towards Johnny, the entire coaching staff should have resigned in 1992.

Hes won 7 games in 4 years as head coach...he is being fired for a reason... not winning games. UT needs an offensive coordinator that can manage talent...the system at ut has been flawed. The talent has always been there... they seem to lack discipline and mental focus. The defense is usually always strong... the talent is there on both sides of the ball but it is not being developled like it should offensively. UT needs a hard nosed, discipline oriented OC.
