It looks like the game at uf should be the easier win. I don't think we beat uga, bama or lsu this yr. But I do think the other key match ups are toss ups. I am looking for swing games with uf and uscjr. So 7-5 or 8-4 is reasonable. I am behind my VOLS all the way but don 't want to sound crazy and think we are gonna beat all 5 top teams. Good luck this yr Vols.

What about going 6-7 last year and having nobody to hand the ball off to makes UGA the obvious favorite to win the east?

I hear that argument but I think its being blown up way too much. We don't have alot of experience but we just need one guy out of the group to step up. There's talent here, trust me.

As long as nobody steps up within the first two weeks, South Carolina is happy. If someone does, it'll be tight between UGA and USC.

I don't understand the hype for UGA. I wasn't impressed with them this spring, but I guess they have improved over summer...

I think they have a guy coming to hand the ball to.....and they do have a good qb. Good talent at UGA......but sometimes its not what you have but what other teams have. We will see.

And I don't understand the love for LSU ... did you not watch our game with them last year? I KNOW we are better than last year, and am not so sure that they are. Tell 'em to come on and bring they tired crawfish eatin toggers to knoxville.

They have the best qb. They had up and down offense last yr. Their defense sucked. I would be shocked to see uga suck again this yr. If they had Green the first month they win the east least yr. Again I would love for us to beat them pups again, but I titled the thread this way for folks to understand I don't think uf wins the east and I think usc goes back to where they were. You can't trust Garcia. So out of the three I think uga is the hardest to beat. Bama no way and Lsu will be fired up to play us. 2011 will be a fun no pressure season. House money so to speak.

Why this team is getting so much hype is beyond me! Win 6 games last year, a true freshman RB is gonna have to carry their run game, lose your best WR to the draft and all of a sudden you're front runner for the SEC east???

I don't think we have total meltdown against UGA like last season and we have 4 qtrs this season of Bray against USC and UGA this year....so I agree with this cat about your post...

I don't think anyone is disputing a talent problem at Georgia...

Crowell may end up being this year's Lattimore, but the fact remains that he was taking handoffs at Carver HS about 9 months ago.

They have talent thats for sure but I have heard that their O line might be a little subpar. Bottom line, they have no excuses not to win the East this year. GBO!

I dont understand all the hype..go back and look at last years predictions..guess who was picked to win the east..GEORGIA!! i mean honestly they were bad last year and had a great recruiting class but last time i checked recruiting does nothing when half the players either..cant make the grades, cant stay out of trouble, not as athletic in college as high school so i may just be stupid but i disagree with all the hype!!! GO VOLS!!

This sets up like CPF's last SECe title run. Smoke and mirrors with luck and a favorable schedule... then get fired

Dont you have serious issues on the OL also? This reeks of over expectations. Your schedule may save the day but I think its 7-5 for the pups

I look at the fact that ugs beat s worse than any other team last yr. even bama and oregon. that game was the only game we lost where it was over in the first quarter. They had flashes of where they were good. We were 6-7 too. I say they are better and will beat uf and uga. I am ot trying to hype up the nasty pups, just want my fellow Vols to realize where the actual rough games are. We could be 4-0 facing uga.
