-Some of this might have been said already since Saturday. So I'm sorry if I'm repeating, I haven't had a chance to scroll through all of the threads yet.

1. So the talk of CPF getting the ax is gone now with the win and chance at another SEC title. Does that mean all coaches on the staff are safe? Personally I hope not. If only one coaching change is made this off-season I really hope it's Slade. There is something wrong with giving that much cushion to WRs. If you play zone and give a 5yd cushion to begin with the WR only has to run a 10yd pattern and it's wide open every time. Woodson had to love seeing that every play during the 2nd half. The technique he teaches is so so bad. You want evidence, take a look at all of our DBs in the NFL. It takes them at least 2 years to start maing an impact. That's b/c they have to be retaught the correct techniques when they get there.

2. G. Jones is a player. I know we are all looking forward to watching the show  he puts on the next couple of years. Did anyone else see him say that he dropped the ball in the endzone after that play? You could read his lips while they were reviewing it. Hell of a play even if it hit the ground!!

3. At what point does it become obvious that they are going to run all WRs off and flare the RB out into the flat, dump it to him and let him run for 15+ yds every play. I think R. Karl finally figured this our after they did it about 5 straight plays(or 80 or so yards).

4. It amazes me every time we play a game like we did Saturday. We might be the worst team in the NCAA when we get a big lead. Why? We have one of the most conservative coaching staffs in the NCAA. I'd be a rich man if I could make a bet every time we are up more than 20 at the half and then bet that the final score will be a 7 point or less difference. Recipe for TN 2nd half: Run, Run, short pass(lately an incomplete one), punt; hope exhausted D can stop another 5+ min drive while rushing at most 4 and playing the softest zone ever; Repeat until clock reads 0:00 and score is not tied. At this rate I'm going to be gray and bald by 27(I'm 24).

-Couldn't be happier with the SEC East in the bag and a shot redemption for 01' v. LSU(too bad they aren't playing for a shot at the NC anymore like we were then). I know we have a fairly young D and some of the things I said will get better, but some of that is also coaching and you can't really fix it if your being taught it. But we have been able to overcome and "WE GOIN' TO THE SHIP!!!!"

I agree with your observations. Good overview. G. Jones is truly a player and one of the VOLS that I'm very excited to watch in seasons to come. You're dead on regarding observations 1, 3 & 4 as well. And like you, I'm excited about the game this weekend.
