Observations From The Scrimmage.

Of all the people there I'm sure 85% didn't have a tag on. I have no idea what the purpose of the tag is but practices have been all open so far with only restrictions being no photography (which I do anyway).

Pretty sure the purpose of the list is solely to set priority if the crowd that shows up is bigger than they want to deal with. If a larger tha expected throng shows up, the list governs admission. Otherwise, it's just something to stick on the fridge.

It's hard to imagine there being too many people show up for a practice in a 100k capacity stadium. It was a beautiful Sat. afternoon. I'm sure that's what kind of turnout we can expect from now on. However, there were quite a few more than last week. And I'm sure it will grow more getting closer to 9/5 and school being in. How do you reserve a spot hat?

From what I saw it was mainly screens and little dips. Not a lot of vertical movement and Stephens wasn't very accurate today. It's like last year...our passing game is just there we aren't running it. It's not very imposing on the D.

For those who were there, who looked better at QB?

For anyone that was there, are we still rolling the QB's out and using a lot of play action like we did in the orange/white game?

I have little faith in Crompton. His problems are mental. You can help and coach someone as much as you want and he might be awesome in practice but once those lights come on an 100,000+ are screaming the dude completely freezes up.

yep he was handing off to oku and they fumbled not sure whose "fault" it was...i really hope theres not a hex on the number 27

For those who were there, who looked better at QB?

Crompton made some very nice throws, the TD pass to teague was perfect, however he made some really really bad overthrows on some open WRs...he also threw one straight into triple coverage which was batted around and picked by rogan (i don't care if the refs called it incomplete)

Stephens didn't play that bad, i think almost all the drops by the receivers were from his passes it seemed like so his stats will be skewed a bit...he seemed to check down a couple more times than crompton did though

overall i think if crompton can get those couple of overthrows down he will make a serviceable QB...but then again that's a stretch

I really think if Stephens could step up the next couple weeks, he could be the starter, but I just don't think he will.

Very good reporting, guys. Sounds like the basics are the emphasis right now on offense. If you had to predict right now based on what you see, would you say that the run/pass ratio in the early games will be 80/20, 70/30, or 60/40?
