1) Will they ever get the Knoxville Interstate(s) completed? They were working on them when I was in school in the '70's.
2) Two Cokes and bag of peanuts cost $12. These are prices I pay at Arthur Ashe at the US Open in New York.
3) The stadium renovations are looking nice. Hopefully they will get to the bathrooms on the lower level on the East side of the stadium as they look like like nothing has been done to them since the 1930's.
4) The fan excitement is back. The flame had almost been extinguished by the prior coaching staff.
5) Kiffin appears to be a game coach and teacher rather than a clapper.
6) Our wide receivers can catch the ball. Hancock, Moore and B. Warren impressed me. Why were they not utilized last year?
7) The verdict is still out on the three QB's. The defense wasn't blitzing and the secondary was missing the main players. Hopefully our run game will take some pressure off the passing game.
8) G. Jones will be our return guy unless Nu'Keese wrestles the job from him this fall
9) We will need some defensive help from the true freshman class.

I agree with all, but the answer to #1 is never. Something else will break by the time they catch up. Just something we'll have to deal with.

Yeah, I got really mad that I had to buy the cup for a coke TWICE. All I wanted was a refil. There is no way that the drinks actually cost that much. But the Smokey dogs, I think ARE worth $4. Mmmm.....

They ran out of most of the food by halftime, I guess they were not expecting such a large turnout!

The Knoxville I-40 interstates will NEVER be finished. Its been 40 years and it is still a mess. The great pyramids were completed faster.

Im not worried about the defense. Kiff said they held the defense back big time and that since he knew the schemes the defense was going to run and he took advantage of that with his play calling. He went so far as to say it was like taking a test when he knew what the answers were.
My concern is the QB play and pass protection.

Wouldn't it be better to take a test when you know what the questions are? :p

That's exactly what I said!! My 13 year old son put his head down once like he was bored and I told him to go sit somewhere else so people wouldn't know he was my kid. :eek:lol:

Dont judge the defense on the O&W game....they were basically playing handicapped. Defense will be MORE than ok.

Talked to a relative from Memphis. He said M. Walls is up to 282 pounds and has a personal trainer and is solid muscle. Apparently, his family own several car dealerships in Memphis? He will be able to help on the D-line as a frosh.

I'd say we need more help on the offensive end than on defense from our fresh fish.

1) The interstates have been completed for years. They're only working on I40 to make an improvement to it and it will be reopened in June of this year.
2) With all the renovations and coaches salary, you gotta make money somehow.
3) I know the bathrooms and concession stands were a thing they wanted to really improve. I can't wait for all the brick on the outside to be put in place.
4) Completely agree. But we shouldn't expect a 13-0 season this year.
5) Clap off.
6) Alot of our WR's have good hands, but I'm interested in seeing how they do after they catch it. And to answer your question, our coaches were dumbasses.
7) I think Coleman has the most upside of the 3 and yes our RB's will take a lot of pressure of the QB even more so when our freshman class gets to campus.
8) I agree with Jones as the return man. The old coaching staff never liked putting a freshman as a return guy. Eddie Gran will put the best person to do the job back there.
9) Don't read a lot into the game from yesterday. The point system and style of the game benefited the offense greatly. EB and Wes Brown will return for the fall. Our defense I think will be very good. Our LB's have to step up though.

I didn't get to go to the game but I watched it last night and thought it was very entertaining. I compare it to a cross between a "Pro Bowl" type game(basic formations, nothing tricky) and an All American high school basketball game(alot of offense, not much defense, plenty of one-on-one match ups). I think it has been said before that the O&W game is as much for entertaining and raising the moral of the fans as it is for evaluating the players after spring practice. With that being said, I think CLK got all he wanted and needed to see from the game.

I was sitting right next to the commit/recruit section of on the 50-yard line. Stood next to Walls when I was walking down the stairs. He is huge. His upper body mass is very thick. Certainly far removed from his high school days at LB. He has plenty of size to hold up on the interior of the defensive line.

Give the concessions folks a break -- they were all volunteers raising money for projects. Campbell County HS was working the stand I went to, trying to raise money for a trip.

I had heard he was 290. I saw him Saturday and I don't know what his exact weight is, but he is one big kid. You are right, he didn't look fat either.
