Obama's Nuclear Iran

So America can dictate to a sovereign nation what they can or can't do? Let me guess, if they don't do as the US says, they'll be invaded much like their neighbors huh?

All the while Israel can do, and have anything they want, all on the US taxpayers dollar of course.

Iran even looks halfway serious about nuclear threats towards the Holy land ...Israel will leave that place a smoking hole in the ground. As they should. No bleeding heart libs in Israel. They play for keeps and dont give a damn about what others think regarding their tactics or the collateral damages. Feet directly in azz.

I have no problem with the US and it's allies using economic, political, and as a last case scenario military power if it keeps WMD's out of the hands of nations who pose a clear and present danger to our and our allies national security. Iran has stated repeatedly their thoughts on Israel and doesn't even try to hide the fact that they support terrorist organizations who rage war against the Israelis on a daily basis. All it takes is a member of Hezbollah to tunnel under the border with a nuke strapped to his or her body. So my answer to your question is yes.

What if Iran only wants nuclear weapons as a defensive measure? Kind of a mutually assured destruction thing. Is that not acceptable?

First, we are not.

Second, who cares if we were?

Yeah, I used to have that same pro-American bravado... but in the end, everybody needs somebody. We can't just isolate ourselves and expect to prosper.

Every bit of capital we gained after WWI and WWII has been squandered because of the likes of Henry Kissinger and Zbigniew Brzezinski making this country the world's stormtroopers internationally and programs like the Patriot Act, NSA, NDAA, FATCA, etc making Americans prisoners here domestically.

But hey... Go 'Murica.

Well when a nation (Iran) says they want to wipe another nation (Israel) off the face of the planet they kind of lose the privilege to produce nuclear weapons without being challenged. I consider myself very fortunate to be on the side of who gets to decide who gets nukes and who doesn't. Nothing good can come of Iran having nuclear weapons other than the Revolutionary Guard blowing up due to a weapons malfunction during a nuke test.

I'm pretty sure the statement about wiping Israel off the move was proven to be an intentional mistranslation by the U.S. media.

I actually like a lot of his quotes about israel. Like when he asked "if it was Europeans who killed the Jews, why don't Europeans give them their land?"

Travel more would be my suggestion. You'll find that you are mistaken.

I remember reading about that. The guy, what's his name? I'm sure I'll murder the spelling. He was actually talking about the government of Israel, that they should be replaced, or something along those lines.

Because nobody gave the Jews the land in the first place. They fought the British for it remember.

Yes. And he also compared them to the soviet Union and said they would soon go under. So everyone tried to claim he said he was going to "wipe them off the map", which was completely false.

But I 100% agree with him. Why take land from the Middle East for Israel. What did they do? Take it from Germany

wait a minute - are people here arguing that a nuclear Iran is not an existential threat to Israel? That it was all some big misunderstanding?
