I know a constitutional amendment will never happen on this. But I would not mind allowing stricter gun regulation and registration as long as confiscation or prohibiting ownership is not allowed without some sort of heavy due process.

Would not be required, even if it could be achieved. But would be an option for people who want a gun, but are worried about it ending up in the wrong hands.

Yeah...I'm noticing a discernible decrease in the coefficient of friction on the declining grade here.

And just to say it again, I'm not anti-smart tech...I'm dubious about what lawmakers will do with said tech.

And this, so if my wife dies and I have a case of depression the SSA will not allow me to have firearms. Or I'm injured and my wife handles the finances for me they won't allow me to possess a firearm?

Oh I know sir, take a look at Obamacare, a 100 pound stack of papers and endless revisions nobody voted on or even knows everything about, there was a reason our bill of rights was straight forward.

And to top it off actual gun owners agree to this and will not have a problem until they wake up from a coma and the government seized everything, because you are "incompetent"
