LG is right, but should've been 45000. Go over and kick ISIS ass and come home.

This sending of 450 new trainers (we have about 2500-3000 there already) and placement at a base in Anbar province is a mistake. It seems obvious to me that these guys are being sent there with a target on their backs for the very purpose of being attacked directly by ISIS, so that the military can then force another, much larger, deployment.

The ineptitude of the Iraqi army, based mostly on their complete lack of motivation, is not going to be fixed by this. I think this is basic trip-wire strategy, and its going to lead to a much, much larger deployment.

We effed up when we rebuilt their government. Should have been more heavy handed and insisted on a better balance of power. Instead we went soft and let then sort things out. We should have seen this coming. This is on the State Department. More they are once again asking the military to solve a political problem because the test of the national security team sucks arse.

Iraq was a misadventure from the beginning, 3-$4T that should have been spent in the good ole U.S. of A.
