Highs:

Jeff George and Preston Williams looked good, and stood out among WRs.
Dobbs had good touch on the ball a few times and was able put it through a tight window.
TEs were involved throughout.
Defense brought pressure from several positions.
Bain.

Lows:

The "special announcement" disappointed those who allowed themselves to build it up.
Dormady looked off.
Two-hand-touch for Dobbs and the RBs didn't allow for a showcase of skills.
Punters competition was boring.
No Peyton. See special announcement.
Punters competition was so boring SEC Network cut to commercial and Butch ended the game w 7 mins remaining.

He seemed to genuinely appreciate the award and seemed to endorse the Vols and brought up find memories of the times he spent in Neyland Stadium.

If it weren't for the way his football team would beat my football team almost every time we played, I would like him a lot more, but since Butch had his number and drove him into early retirement, he is OK in my book.

I was almost disappointed that he didn't take a cheap shot, but then was glad he showed respect to the award.

If you don't like Steve Spurrier, you don't like college football.

Everything with Spurrier and Tennessee was just bad timing. Whether it was being in the single wing for one year more or Spurrier arriving in Florida at just the wrong time - when Florida high school football became Texas-like and the perfect QB for his system, DW, arrives.

Hate him for four hours on Saturdays when he's on the opposing side lines, but he's been a treasure for college football.

Big announcement - Butch is not human, he is a advanced cyborg model 8000 controlled remotely by Jon Gruden. So all those foolish fans and their stupid theories about how Gruden would be HC and Cowher DC were 1/2 right all along.

I loved the special announcement, why are so many down on that? I think it is a fantastic thing to have a group of young men like those guys leading this team! They are all great kids and awesome representatives of the university of tennessee! They are exactly what we need to attract new talent to tennesse, people who play for and genuinely love the university!!

Preston Williams has blue hair. Noticed Kamara has a gold grill in his mouth. Is that new this year? I do not recall seeing it last season.

Blur hair is new. Last year it was red. He had a gold grill last year too. They're removable, like a mouthpiece.

Biggest thing I took from the game was Shoop's aggressive defense. They were actually sending the blitz today. Tells me that they are going to go after the qb more this year!

Gaulden blitzed for an entire series once it became 1st & goal. No more sitting back waiting for it. Shoop is going to force the action it seems. Nothin against Jancek, but we appear to be headed in the right direction defensively.

I have not seen anything on Croom yet-- how did he look/play? This is a big switch for us that could really pay off if he can be used properly....

I agree. it seemed like multiple players were in the backfield at the point the ball was snapped. I'm not sure Eason is going to know what do with that when we come visit in early October

Power I, T Formation, Wishbone, some how get all three on the the field at the same time.

Put the Wolf brothers at each end. We need to run about 95 plays a game just to spread the ball around properly.

Dobbs 5 runs

Hurd 25 touches

Kamara 20

PWillie 10

Kelly 10

George Jetson 5 (Jeff George)

Team Wolf 5

Croom 5

Who am I leaving out?

We are stacked and are on our way to Back to Back wins in Tampa.

Jump higher Vols.

Josh Malone, our leading returning wide receiver.

I mean the point of what i said is after they leave next year? I mean it's kind of obvious what i meant. I'm just saying after they leave we'll still be in very good hands at RB.

No it wasn't obvious.

Very good hands huh? Not unless Butch ropes at least 2 stud RBs in this next class. We've only seen
Kelly in mop up duty, Joe Young is a big ???, and Fils-Aime hasn't taken his first snap. I see this
as a major problem, not in "very good hands."

I don't think we are in "dire" need but we should definitely take two quality backs this year.

I think at one point in an interview someone said the players call him Bob "Blitz" Shoop

I thought he looked well. Got behind the defense and was wide open on a trick play RB pass that Kamara overthrew by a couple of yards.
