your issue should be with the website that posted that, not CBJ.

I have an issue with someone saying there's a "big announcement" and then it being what it was. Our program has been through the ringer the last 10 years, and I'm not sure this qualifies as a "big announcement".

Maybe not big to you but I bet it was special for the players.

I bet the 4 captions felt the same way.

I had the sound off on my TV - could someone fill me in on why all the QBs had knee braces on - I was a little worried when I saw Dobbs wearing one -- is it some kind on new safeguard ?

The brace is there to try and reinforce their plant foot in case someone runs into their knees in process of throwing.

You the head of UT public relations, or just a some nameless megalomaniac that thinks the world revolves around them?

The "special" announcement was a nice moment for the fans and was most likely more special for the team but it in no way warranted the external promotion that it was given. Ridiculous PR outside of the team. A "teaser" and nothing else.

Did I assume it would be some outlandish coaching hire or new big commitment? Not at all.

Did I think it was another gimmick by CBJ? All the way.

Yeah, what was the big deal with that....I mean Tennessee has only named a few players Permanent Captains since it's existence. Why would true Big Orange Fans be excited about that

Ron White said it best...."You Can't Fix Stupid"

I know right.

Jump higher Vols.

My biggest and most encouraging takeaways are:

1. John Kelly can be a feature back in this offense if he runs with the intensity he did today.
2. WR's/TE's looked tons better (minus the croom drop that led to a pick) and despite the aforementioned drop that led to a pick croom and wolf both looked great today as well. Also Preston Williams will be great, as well as Jeff George's ability to high point the ball in the end zone. Missing Smith, Malone, and Jennings too so it was impressive.
3. Last but not least Josh Dobbs had noticeable improvement. I think the biggest reason is due to improved WR and TE play. Some passes he made were spectacular, and especially the touch pass to Preston Williams.

Overall: while missing several players this spring hurt, the game was still eye opening. It delivered on the recruiting front as well with 3 solid commits.

How did the Spurrier award go?

He seemed to genuinely appreciate the award and seemed to endorse the Vols and brought up find memories of the times he spent in Neyland Stadium.

If it weren't for the way his football team would beat my football team almost every time we played, I would like him a lot more, but since Butch had his number and drove him into early retirement, he is OK in my book.

I was almost disappointed that he didn't take a cheap shot, but then was glad he showed respect to the award.

Typically protects their front left leg because that's the leg that's exposed for righty's when they step. For left handed guys it would be on the right leg.

What do you plan to do with Hurd and Kamara?

Power I, T Formation, Wishbone, some how get all three on the the field at the same time.

Put the Wolf brothers at each end. We need to run about 95 plays a game just to spread the ball around properly.

Dobbs 5 runs

Hurd 25 touches

Kamara 20

PWillie 10

Kelly 10

George Jetson 5 (Jeff George)

Team Wolf 5

Croom 5

Who am I leaving out?

We are stacked and are on our way to Back to Back wins in Tampa.

Jump higher Vols.

How big is the way the Captians were chosen for this year?

How was it done while you were there?

Biggest thing I took from the game was Shoop's aggressive defense. They were actually sending blitz today. Tells me they are going after the qb more this year!
