Talent-wise, we should be better than Vandy and Kentucky.

If Mississippi St is our second West opponent, we might catch them with a new coach if the Mullen to Penn State rumors have any weight to them (and their OC might be joining Urban's staff anyway).

And although they've got a bit more talent, Florida's in a similar position to us. Fortunately they have to come to Knoxville.

Those are 4 that we could/should win. Something like 4-4 or 3-5 in SEC and anywhere between 6-8 wins overall seems reasonable.

Something has to give, since I'd be a little surprised at only playing two teams in the other division. we may have to give up one of the cupcakes, I mean, non-conference games to add Miss St or TAMU...both L's on the road.

IMHO, the swing games will be those marked by *. I still say 7-5, with 8-4 as a likely max and 9-3 as a stretch goal. If we lose to NCState, things could get quite ugly on the hill.

Things will get better eventually.

We'll have to see who we draw from the West, but I seem to be one of the few who thinks we will have a good team next year. Give Bray/Hunter/Rogers/Oline this offseason together and we will have an explosive offense. If Wilcox is here, I'm thinking we will have a decent D, too.

A seldom-discussed fact about losing to KY is that this offseason will be truncated since they don't get bowl practice together to improve. Not saying they won't be any better, but that sure would have helped some.

7-1 in the sec 4-0 non con 11-1 and all the dooley haters will say i never said dooley needed to be fired... this is assuming we land patterson and autry and get hunter back 100%... flame away
