I doubt that the football team is in on recruiting meetings. The football player was laughing at the questioner, not with him.

Can you sign two NLIIs? If you can do that then I think Washington signed with both Tennessee and Georgia! That way it keeps them both quite going in to his announcement and keeps his true choice from leaking out

He’s been covering the program for almost 30 years. He very rarely makes definitive statements so when he does you can bank on it. i.e. DW has signed elsewhere.

You think Hubbs only has sources inside the UT complex? He's been at this a looooooong time. DW signing elsewhere could be leaked many different ways from many different people. The point is that Hubbs said, "He's not coming to UT." If you speak Hubbanese, which I do, it translates to "DW signed with another school so it's over."

If he hadn't SIGNED... Hubbs would say something like, "It's going to be a battle to the end but the Vols are in it and some on staff feel good about their chances. But so do UGA folks, so we'll see."

And maybe this is all some charade by DW, Nieds, ATL Vol and others....and DW will be a Vol. But I believe with 100% certainty that Brent Hubbs believes DW has signed elsewhere. And when he makes definitive statements he's rarely wrong. Hope he is though.

Wonder if he’ll transfer out of Georgia and come to Tennessee?

I highly doubt he’ll get much production in Coley’s offense.

I am rewatching the SECCG now, cause it's on, and that Coley offense is atrocious.
I get it that nobody has faith that this staff can land the big fish, but I just feel otherwise.

I get it, but no one is 100% right even when they make definitive statements. He may make that statement for no other reason than logic. Logic says 5 stars at UGA and UGA is closer to a championship than UT. But in my opinion, UGA is smoke and mirrors.

Nothing from insiders.....radio silence all around. Everything is just guessing. Hubbs has rarely been wrong before so most arr riding with him. Hes been wrong before so, I am riding with CJP and Nieds.

I could be an idiot but I'm just not even worried about our situation here. We are perhaps, along with Texas, the biggest sleeping giant in the sport this last decade. Our resources, tradition, and regional recruiting can be matched by very few. All it takes is the right hire and some patience. Coaching has always been the difference. How many top 5-10 classes did Butch reel in? Those peaked with a gator/outback bowl that Pruitt just equaled in year 2.

I'll be happy if we get this guy, don't get me wrong. But I don't think he's poised to be a routine game changer for anyone. Watch his tape, he excels because he's an absolute brute compared to the competition. That won't always be the case in the SEC. Feels similar to Kongbo.

I completely buy in to the braintrust behind our football program now, they'll do the best with what we get.

My take: People are impatient. DW isn't the 1st (or last) to announce at one of these games. He's not done a single thing wrong. AV shouldn't say if he knows and honestly, Hubbs shouldn't have given a clue either.
Crazy to think that we, the adults, can't wait a few days.
