First, oh how terrible that UGA only had 1 completely healthy 5 star back to choose from.... What a disaster! Give me a break with that BS. Smart had 2 future starting NFL RBs at his disposal and that's a fact.

Secondly, Terry Godwin was a 5 star athlete. Arguing he wasn't technically a WR is semantics. He was clearly brought in to be a WR. And regardless, I said 4 and 5 stars.

Yes, a freshman QB is an issue, but he happened to be the No. 1 QB in country that recruiting cycle, so certainly not your typical freshman QB.

The amount of games started is irrelevant. The talent was already in the program before Smart arrived, which is the point. Smart inherited a 10 win program full of NFL talent.
You said stable of WR’s, which UGA didn’t have. 1 healthy RB also doesn’t constitute a stable. Relying on a true freshman QB is never ideal, especially in the SEC. Again, the fact you blindly base it off recruiting rankings for UGA then say you can’t for UT is telling. If you want an unbiased view you should get rid of the double standards.

Dude if you think UGA wasn't at a better place talent-wise than UT when Kirby and Pruitt took over their respective teams is laughable. You'd have to be a damn fool to think that a 4-8 UT is as good to start out as a HC with as a 9-3 UGA that Kirby inherited. Why don't you do yourself a favor and get outta here

Mark Richt left them loaded. Acquiring talent wasn't his problem. Kirby's first roster was chock full of NFL talent.
