I’m hoping with Washington saying he doesn’t care about going to a team loaded with top recruits, but doing what’s best for him is a sign he’s leaning to the Vols.

It’s a valid point. We know neids is a elite recruiter but he was a first time full time coach. So that is the question mark. Chaney will help him immensely in that department. Chaney will be a huge developer of this staff. Lots of guys with potential with a chance to learn from a veteran

Interesting point. We like to think of Chaney's contribution as coaching QB and OL, helping to design an offensive system to optimize player strengths, and calling good plays. Never really stopped to consider that he is probably coaching the offensive coaches under him just as much as the players, and that might have a bigger impact.

With his experience coaching those positions it’s more a synergy thing.

Nauta wasn’t a 5 star due to his blocking. Don’t know what other 5 stars you’re referencing. No TE’s draft stock has slipped due to Chaney being their OC. The only roadblock has been our record...which Chaney will help improve dramatically.
